GalaxyHostPlus have been in business since September of 2014. They are registered in Ireland under Galaxy Digital Networks with Company Number 549457. You may use this website to verify. They have been featured twice already here in LowEndBox. They generated modest amount of feedback and it seems the community is very skeptic. In my opinion, I will try their services first on non-critical use, as the generous amount of resources for the price is hard to pass up.

GalaxyHostPlus accepts PayPal, Payza,2CheckOut, Skrill and BitPay(bitcoins) for payments. They changed their refund policy and are now offering a 3 day complete money back guarantee if service is not working. Additional IPv4 cost $1.50/month and game servers are allowed with fair share usage of CPU. Kindly check their Terms of Service before making any order.

Network information is available on their NetWork Page.

    • I’ve been at galaxyhostplus now for 6 months and I have $36/year plan and I must say that I don’t regret a penny because the service is great, uptime monitored by pingdom is 99.96%. They are doing the great job so far.

Probably depend on peering and service you trying to ping or test.
We have few Spain clients and they happy with their ping it just also possible their ISP have just backbone with one of the OVH peering. Anyway you can test french network at our LookingGlass http://fr-vps.galaxyhostplus.com/

    December 2, 2015 @ 9:25 pm | Reply
    • Hello.

Thank You for asking this good question.
We check all requests manually most hosts are automated with these stuff.
We normally do research online if such content is really Copyright which can be checked simply throw patent website & Copyright.

But yes it can happen sometimes even on big hosts due human error VPS can be suspended by accident. So far we don’t have such cause but we cannot guaranty anything.

      Hope this answer your question.

      Sorry we don’t support docker.
Due require reboot due kernel re-compile
Docker are used for KVM Severs.
If we install docker on OpenVZ we will loss control over the network as docker requires veth as docker wont work with venet0.

All of these have 4x vCPU? Just doing some research for a project far off in the future. Would acceptable use be accepting terrain data via FTP and then processing it into large PNG images or other image formats and sending it out to other servers?

    I/O Intensity: Moderate/high, but sporadic.
    RAM Usage: Tons
    CPU Usage: Idle or Tons.

Such a workload can be split to as many cores as possible, so it might only be fair to use just 1 or 2?

But it could be done during periods of lower usage, if there’s a way to convey to the VPS what time of day to run the scripts at?

    Is this allowable?

    -Kramy

    • Hello.

Correct all our Yearly Special Plans have x4 Cores.

I/O Intensity: Should be fine in not abusing 24/7
RAM Usage: You can use all Ram of your VPS Plan.
CPU Usage: As long your under load 1.50 15m all should be fine.

It would be fine as long it don’t harm any other clients on the node.
Just note yearly plans are limited in power than our Monthly plans specially in cause of CPU until are 1/4 of monthly plans.

If you still interested please open ticket so we can talk about this more detail.

Do you think with that cpu power the vps could handle 5k traffic?

        December 5, 2015 @ 11:23 am | Reply
        • Hello.

I think it should be more than fine with these specs.
I say from 2GB Ram should be no issue in high traffic but Ram could be sometimes 100% usage.
Depend on what software you running and if you have any scanners for mails and s o on.
I would say 4GB Ram is prefect for high traffic in my experience as I also played little with these around. Anyway you can share the results later with us how it’s going for other LEB Members.

        • Hello.

This was back in January 2015 on Start Up when we started with VPS servers.
We no longer use such servers if you press order from old offer you will get one of these CPU Models
Intel Dual Xeon L5630, Intel Xeon E5-1650v3, Intel Xeon D-1540, AMD FX6100, AMD Opteron 4334 and Intel i7 4930

And apologies for the confusion I thought you are another guy which keep asking for free stuff and after put comments like this :)

So back January 2015 and now it changed a lot we no longer use these Atom servers as we are able to get strong Dedicate Servers from DC.

Probably our old LEB post confuse a lot with this Atom server but as I said we only started from zero to over thousands of VMs at this moment.

If you wish free trail sure maybe we can prove we are not that service from January 2015 :)

Anyway a have good day if you interested in trial just open ticket.

If you want buy vps from this host, remember this…CPU LIMIT only 1.5 or 37.5% from total resource.

    • Hello.

This is limit is made to prevent abuse on the node. Specially on OpenVZ when everything is shared.
All OpenVZ providers have limits some even 1.0 or below. specially on special yearly plans to provide servers for such price there need be fair share usage.

        1.0? what host you referring?
if you refer 1 cpu, that’s fair. total 100% resources.
you offer 4 cpu, but limit 1.5? is that fair ?

        December 17, 2015 @ 11:24 am | Reply
        • Hello.

It’s fair share usage on OpenVZ as it’s shared CPU with other clients.
I won’t mention the providers names which does that but even top providers on LET do same system it’s only way to keep let prices. For dedicated CPU you should look at KVM there should be no issue with load unless provider do same system.
You can use more CPU but not 24h we warm all clients as it’s affecting other clients on the node.
If you wish we can stop asking clients to stop warm and you will see how the node will preform with abusers on the node probably crash of system :)

          Anyway hope you get it.

Ordered a 2 GB VPS about ten days ago. Paid the invoice.
It says it is 2 GB, but it is not. Not more then 512 mb. The server has far to much clients. Installing software takes ages. ISPManager took 14 hours, I called the installer of Vesta after 16 hours.
The supportdesk does not solve the (memory) issue at all. I have asked for a refund now.

After trying their service for couple of months, and working with a lot of VPS providers before that for 4 years, I have to say – this has to be the most pleasant experience for me. Guys from GalaxyHost+ actively and thoughtfully participating in their clients’ requests and I got to say – I felt welcomed. After a lot of rejection from the different hosts of my custom requests, no matter how small and harmless they were, I was glad to see, someone listens and responds. I was also glad to see that much performance for that low a price!
Seldom slow responses and slow IO on a host (my VPS was on that faulty node) – who didn’t have it? Come on, you seriously believe that there are providers, who ALWAYS answered inside 24hrs and never had outage or DDOS/resource abuse?
I guess people flaming this host, just don’t want it to get more customers in fear they will oversell, or just competing dirty :)

Misleading company, does not include all information in Terms of Service, then locks account when you violate one of there invisible rules, turns out the invisible rule is your payment method has to let them charge you a day later for an extra month payment, discovered this after a heated debate with them where they blamed my use of a self owned VPN during order time as fraudulent and permanently closed my account. Also claiming permanent account closure over a verification failure was “industry standard” which it is not, I personally deal with several hosting companies, 2 of wich took issue with me using my PHONE internet because it wasn’t a fixed location, and all i had to do was send in documents proving who I was. Something that GalaxyHost’s TOS states they also do, but there actions say otherwise.
I went to my payment method to make sure I was refunded in full, and noticed roughly 24 hours after I placed my order, and had payed in full, they tried to charge it an additional 3 times, all of which were blocked as “duplicate”, after the third charge failed, my account was blocked about 10 minutes later.

    • Hi,

VPN/Proxy won’t be accepted during order as this is valid account information which is mention in TOS (provide the correct And up to date information)
      We also mention in TOS
GalaxyHostPlus reserves themselves the right to choose which contract they wish to, or do not wish to accept.

Your order details didn’t pass our verification system which is valid point not to accept your order.
