LowEndBox contributor @Not_Oles has a server from GTHost (recent offer for a cheap dedi in 17 locations), and he’s awarding free VPS systems on a lottery basis. VMs are a NAT VPS with a /64 ipv6.
So what’s the catch?
No catch, but there are some requirements, all of which are stated up front.
Read the top of the thread for all the details, but in a nutshell there are two methods. Method number one is to have a LowEndTalk account for at least 6 months and be reasonably active there. Method number two is to qualify by making a donation to charity and documenting it.
You must comply with GTHost‘s AUP and TOR, torrenting, public VPNs, and email servers are not allowed. Otherwise, as long as your usage is normal, it could be a very nice experience.

Hi Andrew! Thanks for your kind support! Thanks also to GTHost and to Jon Biloh! FreeVPS.org seems to be getting off the ground. We’ve got about 20 VMs running on the GTHost node in Chicago. Several users have posted about being satisfied. Discussions are happening about additional nodes in London, in Europe, and in California. We’re still looking for the front end Jedi Master and for another amazing sysadmin to help @TheOnlyDK. Maybe a couple of members for the Board of Directors. Thanks again!
