LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

GigeVPS - $6.97 512MB OpenVZ VPS Exclusive Offer

Updated June 2011 — GigeVPS, after being acquired by ThrustVPS in March, is now redirecting to Thrust’s main site. Company in dead pool.

GigeVPS Rus, of Thrust::VPS who recently purchased GigeVPS from Jacob (who purchased HostLatch in July from Adam), sent me an exclusive offer for the LowEndBox readers. 30% recurring discount when you use promo code LEBSEPT, which I guess will expire at the end of September. Better than their 25% off discount on WHT at the moment :) That also means you can get the following VPS for $6.97/month (Ordering link).

  • 512MB memory
  • 30GB storage
  • 300GB/month data transfer on 1Gbps
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

GigeVPS was with HostDime in Orlando I believe. As it is now under the same management I think it is fair to compare with Thrust::VPS’s East Coast OpenVZ VPS, which is $1/month cheaper, 1/2 the disk space, but a lot more monthly data.

it’s 300, not 3000 on the ordering page.

ADAM is running another one ;) He sold this but he has another good VPS site. And I’m satisfied with him. Anyway, if Gigs run by ThurstVPS then it will be sucks due to worst performance and support as well.

Looks good – Seems like the guy behind this is doing well for himself.

Adam did not sell “Hostlatch”. He gave it to Jacob and Jacob sell it to ThrustVPS. I still have one server with GigeVPS and I don’t think there will be any migration of any servers so the performance should be okay. My server with them seems stable now.

We have got a series of improvements planned. Firstly we will not be renumbering or moving datacenter. What we are definitely doing is upgrading the internal systems. We are also going to be updating the ticketing system and ssl’ing solusvm. We will also be bring gigevps.net to the UK

Hopefully GigeVPS’s VPSes will not move out from Florida DC.

Sorry but my bad experience with Hostlatch makes me stay away from these folks.

GigeVPS is now under new management so we have taken some large strides to upgrade the infrastructure and distance itself from previous owners/takeovers
