Via this WHT offer. Here we have it. Host Gigs (although the domain name says Host a Gigs, but we all know “gigs” is plural hence the disappearance of “a”) — registered in November 2009 by an Indian owner, and they are having “25% off” discount on their “on-shore” VPS service (whatever that means, but I guess it’s the opposite of off-shore). So for $6.95/month you get
- 512MB memory
- 20GB storage
- 1,000GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ/vePortal
It says We Are Official Resellers Of BurstNet on their ordering page so I guess the servers would be in Scranton PA with BurstNet. Now you just need to justify why you should spend $1/month more to buy the same VPS from a reseller than from the actual operator/data center.
DNS of the domain is a mess. ns[34].hostagigs.com does not exist (but advertised in WHOIS), and ns[12] are adjacent IP on the same box. Querying NS record against the domain returns me a different set of non-existing names as well. Weird.
Update: Amar made some update after his site hits LowEndBox. Now it’s showing $5.95/month, but attracts 15% “Payment Gateway Fee” so it ends up with $6.84/month. There’s a once off 25% off discount using code 25%off which I won’t take into account as it’s not recurring.

’nuff said.
Also Mention That In a Month We Have Got 22 Vps.s Orders…
I had horrible experience with this host, they were reseller of Burst.net and didn’t pay their bills. This caused lock down of 2 of my VPS’s. After contacting Burst.net I was able to get one of my VPS up and running and other one was deleted from the system for non-payment so Burst.net couldn’t restore that VPS for me. I did contact Amar Chaudhuri aka Steve from Hostagigs several times before conatcting Burst.net directly all he could tell me that his paypal acct was blocked and he is trying to use Alertpay instead, I asked him to send me the Alertpay payment link so I can settle my invoices, but didn’t get any response from him at all. Before all these fiasco this guy did give me pretty good service but everything went down hill.
FYI – their site is still suspended
Something’s fishy with the excuse of having to use Alertpay. At the level of the multiple servers, fedex’ing a cashier’s check becomes an option if a quick payment is needed. One doesn’t pay thousands of dollars through Paypal or other such services.
There is nothing fishy…
let me know how you manage to work when paypal has lockdown your account with all your money.
I am still trying my level best to get things set up..
Hello
We are back up now. i have managed to get the site up.
web site nothing appear…
Looks like domain is not resolving anymore. Both the website and DNS are still there, but the website has been pulled from the hosting account.
