  5. How come, when I go directy to the website, it shows the cost of RESELLER-LEB-1, as $9 per MONTH…not $2/qtr, or $9 a YEAR? Is it a special only offered if you click the link off this website? When I do that, it takes me immediately to a domain registration page, with no cost for the service I’m signing up for shown. Thanks.

    July 17, 2018 @ 3:47 pm | Reply
    • Hello, these are special promotions created exclusively for LEB with custom order links. Please use the links below each plan to order the respective plan. These specials are not listed anywhere on our website as they are exclusive for LEB.

    • These are limited quantity promotions we created for LEB, so it’s not like it’s going to be something we’re selling all day long forever. Our website pricing is actually far more expensive than these rates. I am sure if you give us a try you’ll absolutely love our performance and experience for yourself that it is not overloaded :)

I submitted a ticket yesterday and no reply yet. Is there a way to pre-pay for three years of reseller hosting or a way to get the same $9/year price next year at time of renewal?

    July 18, 2018 @ 2:13 pm | Reply
    • Hello Alex,

We do not have any open tickets in our queue (“0 Ticket(s) Awaiting Reply”), we always stay on top of our ticket queue and answer tickets very quickly. Did you by any chance typo your email address when submitting the ticket? Please also check your spam folder, that could be another possibility?

Pricing does not go up, and you will be able to renew at the same rate. I just added the option to prepay for 3 years for that plan, you should see it now in the order form.

      Cheers,
      Elliot

    Howdy,

Ordered a VPS plan, loving the fast speed! Quick question, since I currently have the server in Dallas, will I be able to order another one in Chicago later on? I guess my question is, is there a limit to how much I can order by location or anything?

If all goes well I should be needing some more.

    • Hello Alan, I’d like to thank you for ordering with HostBRZ and welcome you to a serene hosting experience :)

I am pleased to let you know that there is no limit to how many you can order.

How do I point my domain to the VPS at HostBRZ? Do I just point to ns1.hostbrz.com & ns2.hostbrz.com? But that’s it? No standard DNS provided like DigitalOcean or Linode?

    July 19, 2018 @ 10:23 am | Reply
    • Hello, you would just need to point your domain’s ns1/ns2 entry to your VPS IP address, and install a DNS server on your VPS. We can assist you with setting up DNS on your server if needed.

Eric, you should create custom DNS at your registrar. You just provide the IP address at your ns1. and ns2. addresses

Do you have restrictions on CPU use? What’s the CPU? Can we run at 100%? If so, do you create the ceiling automatically (e.g. out of a 3.5Ghz CPU, you give 50% max so we can run 1.75Ghz)?

    • Hello,

Our CPU policy is simply fair share. If there are ever any issues, we’ll let you know by e-mail. However, we run powerful 3.40 GHz + CPU’s so its almost never an issue!

Was this company founded this year or even recently? Or previously known as another company?
Yes, the domain hostbrz.com has been registered for 8 years, but when I check the cPanel license and WayBackMachine. These seem to be indicating that this company has just started their business not too long ago.
The cPanel license of hostbrz.com was activated a week ago (active on 2018-07-15 00:41:52), previously they activated a 15-DAY one on 2018-06-29 15:01:00
    WayBackMachine history on MARCH 13, 2018 (https://web.archive.org/web/20180313232540/hostbrz.com)
Maybe I’m overthinking but is HostBRZ a new company or previously known as another company?

    • Hello,

Yes, OpenVPN is allowed and plenty of our customers use our services as a VPN.

Ravindra, you’ll want to make sure TUN/TAP and PPP are enabled. Those modules are what OpenVPN requires to function properly. You can enable those modules within the SolusVM panel.

I’ve waited a while to comment on this company to check their packages out. Wait, this came out wrong. Anyway, I was in need of cheap hosting because after my project is finished, it will remain unchanged for the next decade(s).

VPS is not really an option any more. I’ve tried many providers and they all worked pretty well, but the setting up and maintenance is something I now prefer to leave up to the hoster. So then this provider popped up in my news stream and decided to see how they worked and especially how everything works.

I have two packages, the SHARED-LEB-2 and SHARED-LEB-3. Both work equally fast. I ran into a few snags while setting thing up. Really simple issues, one not being able to add credit, that I required SSH access and that I had an odd PHP thing happening. Everything got dealt with swiftly and adding an extra option is totally not a problem. I want this, they send invoice, I pay and it’s there.

The control panel is from cPanel, something I have not worked with before. My previous panels were Webmin and CentOS Webpanel. I had to get used to it, but it’s properly confugured and you have access to the scripts by Softalicious which saves a lot of time with setting up websites. The only thing that i’m missing is that one cannot “lock” a website from core file alterations that you can do in CentOS WP. I hav not transferred a beast of a website yet, but gemerally the websites are loading fast for me.

Keep doing what you are doing. I have long experience with hosters and you’re doing it right. Thanks.

Not something that would stop me, but offer says 2TB Bandwidth. Fact is, cPanel shows less allowed @ 1.91 TB per month. Not being picky, only stating the facts:)

Snagged a package 7 days ago and so far they have rock solid service and support but they are only running 2.6.xx kernel for VPS (kernel 4.17 is the latest as of this post) and you can’t upgrade your kernel so if your software installation requires something higher, it won’t work. Just FYI.

Today I tried to purchase the $12 plan from HostBRZ. Exactly 1 hour after my order confirmation, I got an email from Elliot stating my order was flagged and I needed to send them a picture of me holding my ID and credit card. Has anyone else gotten this? Been shopping online for over 18 years and never had this kind of request.

Not pleased about this run around from HostBRZ. Seriously they want me to “prove” who I am by sending them a picture of what they deem to be valid proof and insurance against fraud. If I were a scammer then you can bet I’d photoshop an ID and credit card along with my super happy smiling face. Ridiculous.

      Hi James,

We are not going to risk losing our reputation with our credit card merchant, and a $20 chargeback fee over a $12 transaction. Let me know how you want to proceed here.

Looks like you lost a customer. I’m not sending you a picture of anything. I’m definitely going to look into reporting your company to the BBB. You should be up front about this crap before accepting credit cards online. I suppose when my Discover card gets used fraudulently in the future I can rest assured knowing it couldn’t possibly be the reputable company that I just submitted it to online, who then refused to sell to me after submitting it.

What’s the big deal here? It’s not uncommon at all to have providers ask for verification, especially on credit card transactions.

To me, just by the way you’re communicating, I can already tell you probably do have something to hide, and there’s another side of the story here you’re not telling.

(FWIW, I am not a customer of HostBRZ yet. I am just giving my 2 cents working in CS in the telecom industry myself. I tend to be able to spot a “client from hell” very easily by reading communication).

        • Hello,

Sorry about the trouble here James, unfortunately your order details triggered some red flags within our system which prompted for further verification.

If you wish to order with discrepancies or red flags within your details without complying with verification procedures, then I would suggest paying by cryptocurrency.

We went ahead and issued a full refund for you in the meantime.

          Cheers,

        • James:

You go ahead and send your picture, ID and credit card details over email. Talk about red flags. I cannot even find any company info for HostBRZ. Their WHOIS is not public. No address, company details, anything. You think I’m a bad customer because I don’t want to expose myself to poor security and shady business practices? Do you really think if I was an identity thief then I would spend more than 30 seconds trying to make a false transaction? My guess is you work for this group of yahoos. I say group because I cannot find any company information about them so my guess is good as anyone’s.

I would challenge HostBRZ to indicate what these red flags are, exactly. The only thing I could possibly fathom, is that ordering while at work on a VPN my recorded IP was nowhere near my Home Address on the geolocator. But then again, my ISP gives me an IP that shows 20+ miles from my home, so maybe it wouldn’t matter even if I was home when ordering.

Anyway, if anyone has any company details I would love to see them. Sure seems like they are hiding. I gave them my name, address, phone #, and CC number – and at the end of the day I have no hosting but they still have my information. I’m not the one hiding anything. I have never once been asked to provide photo ID, instore or otherwise, when purchasing anything with a credit card. In fact when I purchase instore and it’s less than $50, I don’t even have to sign. I logged into my credit card statement, and the pending transaction just shows HostBRZ. So even that won’t help me figure out who they are.

Thanks for your reply Anthony. I hope anyone seeing this realizes that your response is very convenient, and that it is certainly not typical to be requested to email a picture of myself holding my ID and CC, and that just because you say it’s typical doesn’t mean it is.

          Potential buyer beware.

Let me share my experience with HostBRZ.

I have opened account with them couple of months ago and purchased a year subscription for a VPS.

Upon bringing up the server I realized the it is using extremely old kernel and it is not possible to install docker on it or upgrade that kernel(limitation on their side).

Since that is requirement for my application I decided to cancel the service (that happened the same day, couple of hours latter).

I requested a refund, since I have the right for it.

Two months have passed and I have not received my funds yet.
I have sent numerous emails and support tickets with no action from the other side.
They even deleted my account from their support system and stopped responding to my emails.

So keep that in mind if you decide to open an account with them.

    Dimitar

I purchased 7$ per month package of 8GB VPS, nearly six months ago.
    https://lowendbox.com/blog/hostbrz-vps-shared-reseller-hosting-from-2-year/

There were frequent downtimes but i continued to use until about five six months. After that i was unable to checkout with my regular card from which i have been paying since the start. So tried generating invoices to add funds and pay them but nothing worked. I asked their support nobody responded on the ticket.

So i thought this was it, I switched to another provider, cancelled my service and removed my card from my account.

After a month, they charged me with three invoices of 10$ 10$ and 15$ without my permission and misused my card, despite removing my card from my HostBRZ account. This transaction was done on the exact same time when a support guy responded on my earlier ticket.

So basically they did a fraud and scammed me by misusing my card without my permission and never deleted information from their system.

After that i reported on their support, generated a ticket for it.
Few days ago, they responded that they would refund in 7 days as i read email notification. Exactly after reading email, I tried to login my account there, it does not work anymore. Nor i am able to recover it from my email.

They misused my credit card without my permission and abused it with 35$ charges which had nothing to do with my 7$ per month service charges.

Can anyone help me report this scam to a bigger authority ?
You can always ask for more details from me on crossysaad@gmail.com
