Instant setup. Transfer speed is highly variable and fluctuates greatly. I’ve transferred some test files from some VPS providers located in the US (Chicago, Atlanta) and the ingress transfer oscillated between few hundred kilobits up to 50 mbps.

    September 8, 2013 @ 12:08 am | Reply
    • Our transfer speeds should actually be quite better than that. While we advertise 2 Gbps per node, we have more capacity than that per node, and each VPS is limited to 1 Gbps. So network should be performing very good. Please send in a ticket and we will investigate this further. Thanks!

      September 8, 2013 @ 11:14 am | Reply
  23. Now this is not so good. You must remember about Dynamic IPs. Many countries like India use it heavily.

“Your IP address is hosting a website called Loxer.biz which was earlier terminated from our network for abuse. Please make sure that this website is not hosted on our network within 24 hours.”

I never had this domain nor I ever hosted with you.

    Care for little enlightening?

    September 8, 2013 @ 4:08 am | Reply
    • Do you want to discuss abuse issues on a public forum? Unfortunately that isn’t really possible.

When we send you an abuse report, it means the IP address of your VPS. It does not mean the IP address of your home / office so I am sure why that being dynamic would change anything. If an abuse report was sent in mistake, please tell us that.

      Please respond to the ticket.

      September 8, 2013 @ 4:14 am | Reply
      • Hi Abdullah

Don’t worry. I know all about abuses. The line starts with ‘your IP address’. So as you said you have strict IP policies, I thought someone also registered with same IP and abused the network – here Dynamic IP address comes.

This is very strange that system is sending people tickets for abuses which are related to your IP and VPS. Hmmm… interesting!

I also know the limitation of public forums but at the same point every aspect of a hosting company is needed to put in display.

        I have responded to ticket.

        Regards.

      Amnesia,

It happens. These are after all systems and databases. I have met the guys that run MaxMind (In Boston), and they do work hard to keep their data up-to-date. There are only so many things that folks like HostHatch can do to keep out the people that want to cause problems.

What I don’t like is when I get service and find out that the IP addresses have been flagged and thus blocked because either someone on the sub-net or a previous user abused the IP space. Business like HostHatch then have to stop dealing with their customers and start dealing with other corporate bureaucratic groups to fix the black mark on their IP space, and still contain the fallout of the malicious user on their own NW.

Ok, I am off my soap box.
      Respectfully
      Brent

  37. I’ve been hosting with HH for a little bit now and having worked in the hosting industry for years I can say a few things. The services that HH provides are excellent. While the uptime isn’t on par with Rackspace, that’s not my primary concern. Their pricing is far more competetive, especially for the pricing. For the price, you get more than you pay for, at least when it comes to hosting. Their panels are the normal ones, but the customer service seems to be top notch.

I have severs with several companies, and so far I’ve been very happy with HH, and would recommend them for non-enterprise use.

    • Hi Greg,

Thanks for the feedback – this is constructive criticism we love to get so we can improve.

I do agree on the uptime part, we have not done our best on that front in the past couple of weeks, although this affected only a couple of our nodes. We have several nodes with close to 100% uptime in the last few months. But I would like to confirm that we do have some changes planned for the near future which will fix this. I am sure you will notice that soon :)

Once again – thanks for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated!
