    Hello Gauri,
the VPSes are provided instantly once the payment is processed.
Some of them were in error due to “Invalid hostname” typed during the order form.

I fixed them manually and they have been created successfully.

    Hello,

Don’t see an option for a different template. How would one get a Debian 8.2 base template loaded?

    September 19, 2015 @ 8:54 pm | Reply
    • Hello,
the default template is CentOS 5 64bit but you can choose your favorite linux distribution after the activation by reinstalling the VPS from the SolusVM Panel.

    • Andrea:

      Hello Ikhlaque,
as said in the ticket there is no way for us to manipulate bandwidth usage.
We resetted your bandwidth after few hours it has been exceeded again.

There was surely something more than a simple “2nd time even just opened it in putty ”
I pasted you the graph with the traffic usage and its details.

As you know we are always open to help you and provide eventually other logs via ticket.

  14. I purchased an OVZ-2 it was very quick for the first couple of hours, but then it started to slow down and came to a bit of a halt. It has now restarted to a moderate speed (not fast, but not the worst vps I have used) and remained there. I did then notice that there was no swap space showing on the control panel or the server, I raised a ticket with support asking about the vswap and they said:
    ‘As stated in SolusVM/OpenVZ documentation:
“VSwap is calculated from the amount of burst memory you add to a virtual server. For example, if you specify 512MB Ram and 1024MB Burst the VSwap would be 512MB (1024MB – 512MB = 512MB).”‘
These seems to be more an instruction regarding the setup of the vps server through solusvm/openvz and not something that I can affect as a user!!!
I have now run out of memory at 1Gb and programs have now been closed by the system so although they state 1Gb memory AND 1Gb vswap this does not appear to be the case.

Although the cpu allocation appears to be ‘ok’, certainly the about my expectation for the price, the memory is not what they have promised. So I am disappointed with their offering.

Can I use Owncloud with y’alls VPS? and do you have a template for Owncloud? also what templates are available for install? Thank You Redwolf

    September 25, 2015 @ 1:43 pm | Reply
    • Hello,
the default template is CentOS 5 64 bit but you can change it in any moment from your SolusVM Panel with the following ones:
      – CentOS 5,6,7 32/64 bit
      – Debian 6,7,8 32/64 bit
      – Ubuntu 10,12,14 32/64 bit
      – Scientific 6 32/64 bit
      – Fedora 19,20 32/64 bit

There is no template with owncloud pre-installed. You will need to install it yourself.

I had the service for a month or so. The service is excellent comparing to the VPS I had in the past. I opened a support ticket due to lack of a template OS and it was resolved within a few hours — good! The ping reply is about 33ms from where I am. I would recommend it any day.
