The failover cluster piece is very interesting.  Most providers have a rack of nodes and if one fails, there’s a long period where they restore backups to a new node.  With a failover cluster, there’s an idle node sitting there waiting for a problem.  If one does occur, your services are migrated to the new node (or are continuously replicated there) and you’re back up and running very quickly.
