If no game servers are allowed, why would anyone choose an expensive VPS in Asia over a cheap one in US? My VPS in LA serves the whole world just fine with applications that are not latency critical (ping <200 to pretty much anywhere including china).

DO Singapore is $5 512mb ram, 20gb ssd, 1tb transfer. Easily beats this offer.

    DONT DELETE THIS POST!

They have different network upstreams and routing, and some say DO is worse.

      Hi,

We do know of DO (no pun intended). Our VPS offer had actually existed before DO opened their Singapore location. They’re great provider and we did have a fair share of our service hosted on them.

Anyway, we never intend to compete with them because we offer this service as OpenVZ, a nice alternative of KVM which DO use. Although OpenVZ have a fair share of kernel features restriction as a drawback, the lack of kernel memory space on each VM actually gives more room to your apps at same RAM/Swap limitation. OpenVZ if done right without overselling also will have generally faster CPU processing and network speed+pps throughput because it’s CPU doesn’t need to do additional virtualization instruction set like KVM does. You can check more benchmark comparison on OpenVZ website.

About price, we are aware of our more expensive offer, but unfortunately we can’t offer our service with that price for many reasons, not to mention that they are a bigger company with more investment at hands. We are sorry for disappointing you on this.

Also as an update about this, we now also offering “$5 512mb ram, 20gb ssd, 1tb transfer” in Singapore (our budget range, without direct routes to some country). You can check our website for more information :)

The main post is actually our premium-priced VPS range, with direct and low-latency route to almost all Asia countries. Furthermore, since this end of year holiday, the premium VPS offer in main post will get additional bandwidth! Now it is increased from 200 GB to 400 GB bandwidth allowance :)

      Hi Lucky,

Unfortunately, our VPS price in Indonesia is more expensive, not to mention that we did not open bare VPS stock anymore in Indonesia because of bandwidth price and speed advantageous in Singapore location.

Having being using their service for months.
very stable and fast network in SG from CN.
but the bw is too small, exceeded the limite very month.
it would be great if it can have much more traffic in the SG plan.
    :)

      Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion and feedback about us, really appreciate it. Fortunately, we might have a plan to increase bandwidth allowance at Singapore in the future :)

Alternatively for now, you can always order additional bandwidth (just make a support ticket).

    • IndoVirtue:

      Hi,

Unfortunately, our VPS nodes in Indonesia is full right now (only offered to local city clients in form of CPanel). We currently didn’t have a plan to expand our Indonesia nodes further, because Singapore location offers more generous international bandwidth at cheaper price with only an added 14ms ping penalty.

About private whois, the main reason for this is because of past experience around 3 years ago, where we got more incoming spam on main email if we use a public whois. We don’t know how things going on right now, but we will happily provide our real whois info if a moderators of LEB here or any customer contact us directly :)

We do realize it is expensive compared with them, and we did not have a plan to compete with them. However, we do have a plan to increase our bandwidth allowance for all Singapore product in the future.

  11. Any planning for KVM VPS? :D

    December 15, 2014 @ 4:37 pm | Reply
    • IndoVirtue:

      Hi Budi,

We do offer KVM vps in the past (in NetworkLayer dc). But we didn’t expand it further due to amount of swap abuse (was using hdd), pirated windows and inability to automatically stop high spam attempt.

Long story short, it was a nightmare for us and heaven for abuser, and that’s why we only market OpenVZ now. We still have a plan to try kvm again in the future, and if we do, we will try to post kvm offer in LEB again :)

Just a heads up, you should fix your certificates.

    December 16, 2014 @ 11:04 am | Reply
    • IndoVirtue:

      Hi,

Which certificates are you referring to?

      December 16, 2014 @ 2:20 pm | Reply
    • IndoVirtue:

It turns out that we didn’t install the certificate intermediate chain properly, which led to rejected certificate in Android (desktop IE and Chrome was ok).

It should be fine now, thanks for noticing us.

Hi, I’m in Australia, the latency to SG suddenly becomes too high, traceroute result shows that traffic has been rerouted through USA. Will this be fixable? I know there are under-sea cable directly connecting AU and SG, and these cable are online now.
