And stay tuned because at the end of the interview, we’ll give you an exclusive coupon code for 50% off…LIFETIME!
Now let’s learn more about Adam’s company and services.
So the last time I looked at autoblogging was probably 10 years ago. Back then, WP-Robot was the state of the art, and it was doing pretty crude text operations in PHP. Is your service “WP-Robot on AI steroids”?
That’s a good way to put it. Essentially, AutoBlogger plugs in directly into WordPress websites and uses RSS feeds to get information about your industry and posts blogs up to 5 times per day.
Our tool connects to RSS feeds, allowing users to provide the AI with valuable information that pertains to your industry.
Unlike other tools that have the AI borderline guess what kind of content makes sense for your website, RSS feeds get the latest and most relevant information in your industry giving you the highest quality content.
I’m guessing you had to do some work to take raw ChatGPT output and QC it, reformat it, integrate it with end user platforms, etc. What does your software stack look like?
In the early days, it did take a few interactions to ensure that the articles had a nice brand voice and didn’t sound too much like a pure news report so we’ve figured out a proprietary prompting system that hits the right sweet spot for most brands.
We always stay up to date with the latest chatGPT models, but obviously as models change so do our promptings. So our team is always getting user feedback and tinkering with prompts to ensure the QA stays at a level we’re proud of.
How does your autoblogger integrate with typical CMS solutions like WordPress?
We have a direct Plugin for WordPress which makes the process super easy.
Users simply download the zip file from our web app and drop the file into “plug ins” section on wordpress.
Right now we only connect to wordpress, but we’re working on getting Shopify integrations up soon.
OK, devil’s advocate question: you pull mostly from RSS feeds. If I have a site, I want fresh, original content, not spins of the same content that is on every site. Can your tools do that?
Because we’re using RSS feeds as our strict knowledge source, the AI is limited to the RSS feed information provided for brand safety purposes. As of now it does not come up with brand new ideas, but that is something we have the in development pipeline.
However, instead of automatically publishing your blog to your site, you have the option to have the AI submit a draft so you can edit the content.
A lot of our users do this to come up with new content ideas and elaborate on the original AI post.
How are people using your software? Are they stamping out a hundred sites to saturate a keyword, or do they have established sites where they’re using your service to fill in content?
We’re finding success with both new and established websites.
We’ve seeing brand new websites with 0 monthly visitors and get thousands of monthly visits in as little as 3 months so that’s been remarkable to see.
However, websites that already have some domain authority established obviously can get results much quicker.
We find people are using the tool for multiple purposes but the 3 most common are:
- Content Creation & Boosting Domain Authority
- This is the most basic use case where brands simply use the content to gain domain authority on Google and enhance their keyword footprint. Since we’re used niche RSS feeds the AI is naturally fed the right keywords and starts to give Google’s algorithm a good idea of what your brand stands for and not only enhances your current keywords but also helps your rank for others.
- SEO Backlinks & Advertising
- Brands are also building affiliated websites around their brand and pushing back links and advertisements over to their main site.
- For example, we have a business is one of our clients and they’ve built a new website called 3Dprintingnews.com which posts the latest info in the 3D printing community. 3D Printing USA then posts ads on the website to attract visitor over to their main site as well as provide backlinks to their main 3DprintingUSA.com website
- Social media content creation
- The last use case is a lot of users take the content published and post those articles onto their linkedin and Facebook pages for added social media content.
As most SEO’s know blogging is only one aspect of what helps sites rank on Google so it is still important to get quality backlinks and focus on other SEO tactics in combination with Auto Blogging
However, to our surprise we’ve seen a lot of companies do nothing but blog and still see remarkable increasing in keyword rankings, and traffic in a matter of months.
According to your FAQ, you’re using ChatGPT to produce output. That makes sense as it’s the most advanced AI model, but have you considered other APIs, such as Claude, Novel, etc.?
We’ve looked into others but the cost to quality ratio just didn’t make sense for us to switch from chatGPT.
Just because I’m an AI geek: have you considered self-hosting an LLM to eliminate API costs?
We’ve considered this as we grow our user rate but at the moment we’re more focused on bringing new features to the tool so that’s where our technical teams time goes into most.
What’s your team culture like?
We’re a startup and we try to make sure we build a fun environment. We have big goals and we’re focused on bringing a multitude of innovations into the market, but we have to make sure everyone on our team has fun in the process of building meaningful products.
What’s next for Automation Tools?
We’re currently in the process of building multiple AI tools and one of the products which is closets to being completed is our AI Voice for Customer Support and Sales.
It’s essentially a humanistic voice that can answer sales and customer service calls to answer questions and transfer you over to the right person without feeling like you’re talking to a robot.
We’re excited to launch this in the coming months.
