  1. Clint:

Thanks for the deals. I have two questions:

    1. Can I order a smaller plan now and then pay to upgrade to one of the other plans later? I don’t have the money to buy the 5GB plan right now but want to start off with the 2GB.
    2. Is the price locked in?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Thank you Kevin for answering all my emails despite all the back and forth I finally pulled the trigger on a 300GB reseller account and am pleased with my purchase so far. The Server Loads are much lower than my current host, and my WordPress install loads fast. Super happy with my experience here so far, thanks for the special deal.

    Support: 10/10
    Activation: Instant (A+)

Out of Curiosity. are these shared servers or by themselves? I currently host at Inmotion and I’m not keen on their shared Reseller plans.

If possible can you do a RAM and CPU speed test? Use sysbench for RAM speed and nench.sh for CPU benchmarking!

From what you’ve shown above the SSD speed is real awesome.

  6. Is the hosting supporting Let’s Encrypt SSL?

    October 3, 2018 @ 9:15 pm | Reply
    • Hi Hai,

Our shared & reseller hosting accounts provide unlimited SSL certificates via Comodo (cPanel’s recommended AutoSSL engine). With our VPS, you can also install Let’s Encrypt for free SSL certs.

Is TUN/TAP supporetd and VPN allowed?
Is there a limit to how many I can order? Will the rates ever increase? These are good prices and I want to order a few before the deal ends.

    • Hi John,

Yes, VPN is allowed and TUN & TAP can be enabled in the VPS control panel.

There is no set limit to how many you can order, and the rate will never increase.

“Offering video and/or audio streaming or downloads, MP3 Files, Games and shareware is also not permitted on any KayHosting server(s).”

So I can basically not host any kind of video or audio file then.

“However, any material that, in our judgment, could be considered adult content…….in any manner may be removed from our servers (or otherwise disabled), with or without notice.”

Why didn’t you just say “Any kind of pornographic content” when you earlier in the terms talked about ch*ldp*rn?

    “*Run “Stress-Testing” of ANY kind;”

I think some dude posted his stress test in the comments. Ban him.

After wasting 100’s of dollars and time finally found this service which really worked very well. Fingers crossed, hope it will stay same way. few hosts work very well initially and then disasters happen, I hope it will not be the case with KH. I will test for few months and then migrate my sites.

They ignore my refund requests. Their servers are misconfigured and their tech support is terribly unprofessional. Stay away. I can’t use the hosting for days, wasted money and time. They don’t know how to setup TLS on FTP, want me to connect with plain FTP.

    Stay away from kayhosting.

I bought a RH-300G plan and initially I only had 30 GB, but after opening a ticket they fixed it in less than an hour.

I also had a problem with the allow_url_fopen PHP parameter that could not be changed in the PHP configuration. A new ticket and again in less than an hour had it fixed.

A few days have passed and by now my opinion of this provider is very positive.

All services runs inside a VPS of 1 GB of RAM, so you have to take into account that to hire a higher plan if it falls short by the number of users who make use of the hosted pages.

    October 29, 2018 @ 11:11 am | Reply
    • Oscar Garcia:

      RH-300G plan is limited to:
      – 1 MB/s I/O
      – 1024 IOPS
      – SSH access disabled

So, although the disks are SSD, the performance will be reduced and maybe you can’t use SCP, only FTP/SFTP.

5 TB of monthly traffic is about 2 MB/s of disk sustained bandwidth, so it is very difficult to reach the monthly traffic limit.

Still the service is great for the price and I’m still happy with it.

Thank you KayHosting! I’ll buy a VPS too :)

That will not handle traffic spikes, if any.

  22. I just purchased a 1G and a 2G VPS instance. Granted, I live only 200 miles from the datacenter, but the speeds have been shockingly fast for the price.

No Ubuntu 18.04, and Ubuntu 16.04 has kernel 2.6, but a very excellent value.

Interested in buying Reseller RH 80G Web hosting account, just want to check if I can send/receive email using your email servers for hosted domains, for regular emails, not for mass mailing or email marketing.

Had a terrible experience last year with a provider (as they don’t support Email on shared and reseller accounts, can’t email forwarding doesn’t work due to their IPs blacklisted) and had to move all cPanel clients to another host. Please confirm.

DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I canceled my account or at least tried to cancel with in a couple of days of getting hooked up with them. They always said this needs to go to another department. They will get back to you. Ticket sat escalated for over a week before I went into my account to force a cancellation. Once I did that they had some exit questions that I answered about the support ( which there is none ) and explained in detail about all of my tickets asking for help and all I ever got was you need to pay for this, or pay for that. All it was is them making you pay for more stuff that still never get support to help. They have no documentation on how things work or what you fully get. So now that my account has been canceled and then they read what I wrote, they actually deleted my account out of their system so now I can’t even talk to them. Then today I also see another charge on my bank account for services that don’t even exist. This company will take your money and give nothing in return and then refuse to talk to you if you have issues. BUYER BEWARE. Poor company.
