The quality of service at my last hosting provider was declining, so I decided to pick up one VPS, plus a shared hosting account here.

Couldn’t be happier with the service – everything was instantly activated and the servers are quite nimble.

    • Do they mean can’t host a video on the site or can’t even embed a youtube video?

      December 11, 2018 @ 1:36 am | Reply
      • trekkiemonster:

Embedding would be fine.. it doesn’t use their bandwidth. I’m guessing they don’t want people eating up large amounts of storage space and bandwidth by hosting large media content. Though if you’re paying for said storage space and bandwidth, then this doesn’t make much sense as a term!

They offer two buttons – Subscribe and Checkout but Checkout does subscribe. Also cannot use PayPal balance, forces me to use payment from the bank. No way.

Btw. when exited PayPal, invoice in customer portal was already generated and marked unpaid, and it allowed payment without subscription, and also could use PP balance.

    Bought the RH-300G from them.
    Cancelled the plan..
Raised ticket to reverse cancellation while it was still not cancelled. No answer.
    Requested refund. No answer..
There is no real interaction from their side besides a response which says the issue has been escalated.. (Standard response)

Mind if I ask why you cancelled?

      • Vipul:

I just found the response time a little high from where i am so i pressed the cancel option.. on a second thought I decided to reverse the cancellation within an hour. So raised a ticket. But there has been no response. Ive only received this same automated responses for every ticket i have made to support or billing.

“In order to provide you with accurate answers, as this inquiry falls outside technical support’s scope/expertise – please hold on. I will have an account specialist look into this for you and they will get back to your inquiry as soon as possible.”

Looks like Im gonna loose my money…

Yesterday I opened a ticket with the management department and i finally got a real response for the first time since the 13/12/2018 and they immediately refunded the amount. Reason for no response all this time … Christmas Celebrations.

Now that some time has passed and people have been using their deals for a while: how is it? How is uptime on the shared and reseller hosting?

I’m getting 85% or less uptime from SolvedByData and desperately need to switch some personal sites to somewhere new. Are these guys worth the time?

Kayhosting is garbage. I got out of there in 30 minutes and got a better deal at scaleway.

Their support is a complete joke, possibly the worst in the hosting game.

I asked Sales if their any of their reseller plans had root access and they replied my question was out of scope. Out of scope? Really?

I asked support if SSH keys were required for the VPS plan I purchased, they replied that some IP which wasnt mine was blocked for spam. When replying about it they gave me the same out of scope response.

I requested a second time for a refund, they have until morning or I’m going to paypal. Mind you – in the time it took Kayhosting to reply, I already started over on scaleway and my application was deployed and functional.
