I bought a VPS from losangelesvps over the weekend. At first I realized I ordered with the wrong operating system so I was able to get my VPS reimaged using their control panel.

Since then, I have moved things over and everything has been working out smoothly. The server is much faster than my old VPS (which used SATA drives I guess), I suppose i’ve been missing out this whole time since this is my first SSD based VPS!

I’m excited please keep it up! Thanks lots for the great deal.

Signed up a few days ago, very happy with the service, fast and little to no lag from Australia. Moved from Gcloud and now live. Recommended.

Just to make users aware that if you plan on paying via PayPal, you’ll be paying more than the advertised price. I was going to sign up using a PayPal subscription, but their payment system, Fast Spring, tries to charge me an additional 20% tax…

It took a bit longer than I would have liked to get a custom ISO mounted (openSUSE 15.1, not anything totally off the wall…). But other than that, I have no real complaints about the service or Zheng so far! :)

    I got the 4GB so here’s an obligatory benchmark…

Signed up a few KVM VPS. The provisioning of the VPS were fast and smooth. I received email about the new server information very quickly after making the payment. The VPS ran okay for a few days. Today (10/14/2019) the server had some problem and I had to reboot it. After rebooting the VPS, the root password does not work anymore. I had to contact the support and it took about 9 hours for them to answer. They just reset the password but did not provide a reason why the password was reset. I asked them the question but I haven’t got answer so far. From the speed of ticket response, it looks that you cannot count on customer support to get answer quickly.

  13. Horrible deceptive service. Transfer speeds are capped at 100Mbps, even though they advertised 1Gbps speeds. The server also runs on an HDD, even though they advertise it as SSD. Trying to geolocate the server via its IP will lead you to somewhere in Kansas, even though the datacenter is supposedly in LA.

I would not suggest using LosAngelesVPS to anyone.
    Here are the reasons:

    a) LosAngelesVPS is very slow. Probably because it is oversold and/or processing power is not adequate, maybe for other reasons. I was using 4 CPU cores VPS plan and the same processes that I ran on other providers’ VPSs with 2 cores at 40-60% CPU, these processes can saturate easily CPU usage up to 100%.

    b) Really bad support. Your support ticket, if you’re lucky, will be responded in many hours (my tickets were responded in between 10 and 18 hours). So, if you have any issues that need to be resolved, forget about it.

    c) This re-seller has no notion of professional behavior. One day he/she killed my VPS and re-booted it with decremented number of CPU cores (4 to 1 – while I was paying for 4 CPU cores). I did not get any notification from the re-seller. No email, nothing. Zero. Zilch.
When I was trying to contact re-seller, he/she responded in 18 hours (see (b)) telling me that it was intentional and I have to reduce CPU usage. In other words, if you want to rely on processes that run on VPS, just forget about it.

    d) This is one-man re-seller shop. Many times it was noticed (and recorded) that the person, who operates it (sometimes he calls himself Steven, sometimes Zheng, but you could tell by his English that this is the same person) is incompetent, unaware of what he’s doing, most likely just trying real hard to make some profit re-selling CC services. So, you’ll be the victim of his incompetence one way or the other.

So, decide for yourself, would that work for you or not.

Wanted to post a review after using these guys for 3 months now. Solid as hell, no downtime, support responds at 2-3 in the morning within a few minutes for even trivial requests such as setting up reverse dns, wish that was available in the control panel but hey, if support is that fast, that’s awesome. Speaking of the control panel, simple, easy to use, very easy to navigate on one single page. Really fast speeds, I’ve never had lag. After reading the other persons review I was astonished to find lag an issue. I’m on the 4GB vps and it runs all my things flawlessly.

I run anywhere between 10-50 servers at one time. Bought a server from them. Locked down SSH and staged it for some software installation later. Few days later I see it’s suspended. Logs show definite breach. I wipe it, reinstall the same OS, and locked it down. Left for a trip, came back to it being suspended. Support said they won’t unsuspend it since its used so much bandwidth. 64% as shown by their panel…which means I still have 1/3 left. Two reinstalls, both hacked on the same day they’re deployed? Something doesn’t add up. I hate to say this, but I would avoid this company in the future

None of my other 30+ active servers (all exposed to the web) are experiencing issues like this.

    They are super on support.
Very helpful on shorting pre sale issues.
Servers are fast in terms of hardware and network.

Their KVM VPS pool does not run on SSD!
    Also, network is pretty slow.
