MikroVPS - $6.46/Month 256MB RAM Xen-PV VPS in Hungary

Janos, from MikroVPS, sent in their first offer for a small 256MB VPS located in Budapest, Hungary for low end box readers.

Nano VPS

  • 2 vCPU Cores
  • 10GB RAID-5 Diskspace
  • 1000GB Bandwidth
  • 1Gbit Port Speed
  • 1 IPv4 & 1 IPv6 Address
  • Xen-PV/SolusVM
  • Promo code: LEB20

MikroVPS are a new company who were founded in April 2012 as a sole trader by Janos himself, this is the first time they have been featured here. According to their website they use Supermicro MicroCloud servers, for these offers they are using Intel Xeon E5-2620 CPU’s. Each VPS is assigned 1 IPv6 address but more are available free upon request. All prices on their website and in this offer are inclusive of VAT. Since MikroVPS is a new company there aren’t many if any reviews around, so do let us know how your VPS was if you decide to purchase one.

Payments are made via PayPal at the moment, with a non-refund policy. They provide a 99.86% uptime guarantee per calendar month according to their ToS. They allow IRC for personal usage as well as VPN and proxies, Tor is permitted “within the framework of legality” although I wouldn’t be sure how they would monitor that, as well as legal adult content being permitted. Downloading films or music for personal usage is permitted too. According to Janos, they have a traffic limit in place but only suspend the VPS in the event illegal activity is spotted etc.

Network Information:

Servers are located in Budapest, Hungary at the DoclerWeb facility.

Test IPv4: 188.227.227.71
Test IPv6: 2001:950:1:23::3

They are not a freakin US company, why do you expect they use $$?
Their servers are not located in the USA, which means cost of power and network may be higher.
Also, this is a Xen PV, not oversold crappy OpenVZ, your evaluation is too outrageous with respect to service quality.

      • Hi!

Our prices in HUF, not USD, so we don’t need to write USD prices.

If we would like to display other currencies, it will EUR, to USD.

One of the worst hosting company in Hungary (im from hungary). They resell EDIS (waveride.at) OpenVZ VPS. (and they resell , resell)

    The prices are too hight..

If you want a good.. go to profivps.hu ….

    August 12, 2013 @ 10:00 pm | Reply
    • Alex:

      Hey!

Waveride provides services only in Austria!

profivps.hu pricing starts from 9.52 $ with 50/50 mb/s and does’nt fit LEB pricing rules!

      August 12, 2013 @ 10:15 pm | Reply
      • Peter:

but its trusted seller. And almost 100% uptime :). excellent quality. Mikrovps not… But you know.. buy it and you will know..

        August 12, 2013 @ 10:23 pm | Reply
      • Peter:

yes waveride.at provide in austria. But you could order it from anywhere. If you order it from it , and resell it in Hungary. Thats easy..

        • Alex:

          Peter,
First of all, it’s impossible Mikrovps to buy services from Waveride and then resell it, because two different locations, two different businesses!

          Secondly,
I already bought one, I’ll see how does it go.

          Thanks.

      • Hi,

actually, mikrovps is selling it’s cheapest for around $8.

        August 13, 2013 @ 1:40 am | Reply
    • Nick:

I’d like to know where you get this from…

      a) Waveride is located in Austria (including their servers)
      b) EDIS is located in alot of places BUT NOT Hungary
      c) EDIS doesn’t even carry Xen VPS
      d) You can only resell domain names and web hosting with EDIS (not VPS!)

Your not making alot of sense and I think your from ProfiVPS just here to steal customers.

I should note a few things here:

        a) Correct, no plans to expand either.
        b) yet…. :)
        c) We have KVM, Xen is pretty much dead.
        d) You can resell our VPS, no issue at all.

    But, wait a minute.
Does “10% CPU” mean that you will kill a node if load exceed 0.1?

    August 12, 2013 @ 11:49 pm | Reply
    • Hi!

This is a Xen PV, so we don’t kill anything.

10% CPU mean 10 “CPU Weight” in xen.

So, a VPS with a weight of 20 will get twice as much CPU as a domain with a weight of 10, but if have free cpu time, it doesn’t really matter.

  18. After a few of my websites went down via the DMCA i’ve turned to MikroVPS.
Don’t really know about other plans but the 6GB OpenVZ VPS plan works awesome.
    Didn’t have a problem since.
    Kind regards.
