Looking for the best, and cheapest, Minecraft VPS Hosting? LowEndBox has exactly what you are looking for with plenty of options starting at only a few dollars a month.
Some people choose to rent their Minecraft servers from a dedicated game server provider who takes way too much of your money and gives you only one Minecraft server in return. Savvy people rent a VPS hosting service from a reputable provider that allows them to have full control of their server plus the ability to run multiple Minecraft (or other) game servers on the virtual private server (VPS).
You might be saying to yourself that you don’t know how to setup a Minecraft server. We’ve got you covered with an easy to follow guide on how to setup and install your very own Minecraft server on a virtual server running Linux.
LowEndBox has published numerous guides and other helpful information about Minecraft servers which are worth checking out.
Any of our providers from our “Best VPS Hosting 2021” list are great options for your Minecraft hosting needs. If you don’t find what you are looking for there, just about any KVM or Windows based VPS hosting service should get the job done.

Jon Biloh is the owner and operator of LowEndBox and LowEndTalk, two of the most recognized platforms in the global web hosting and infrastructure community. With nearly two decades of experience in the IT industry, Jon has spent his career building, growing, and acquiring internet infrastructure companies, with a focus on affordability, transparency, and performance.
Before acquiring LowEndBox and LowEndTalk, Jon was involved in founding and scaling several hosting-related ventures, from bare-metal data center operations to high-volume cloud platforms. His hands-on understanding of both the business and technical sides of infrastructure has shaped his approach to community building and editorial strategy.
Today, Jon’s mission is to modernize and expand the LowEnd ecosystem while staying true to its roots: serving developers, small businesses, and independent providers who value control, value, and community. Under his leadership, LowEndBox is evolving into more than just a deals site, it’s becoming a resource hub, media platform, and discovery engine for DIY hosting enthusiasts and indie cloud providers.
When he’s not working on platform improvements, Jon can be found engaging with users on LowEndTalk (@jbiloh), collaborating with providers, and exploring new ways to support the next generation of internet builders.
Do note that Minecraft needs high per-core performance, not slower cores that you often see with VPS providers. something with a PassMark around 2000 per core is what your ideally looking for. Also a quick SSD/NVME for faster chunk loading. I use extravm myself, as its owner is a well-known member of spigotmc.
Great feedback Jeff.
