Someone at NoVPS emailed me their special offer, which has also been posted on WHT. It’s a special Xen VPS offer for $29.88/Year ($2.49/month). Here is the ordering link, and you’ll get
- 128MB memory/128MB swap
- 10GB storage (RAID10)
- 200GB/month data transfer (1Gbps)
- Xen/SolusVM
Servers in Seattle WA, and according to another WHT offer they posted, they are running pure Cogent bandwidth (can’t be good, can it?!) with “fastest route to Asia”. The fact that they are accepting AliPay means that they probably get a lot of users from China. Did a address lookup on the street address in WHOIS, and pointed to someone in University of Central Florida Chinese Culture Club. Maybe it’s Simon who wrote in the Testimony page :)
No IRC no torrent and no illegal stuff. 6 months old domain although the domain won’t expire until 2020. Why someone named it NoVPS is still beyond me…

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
I don’t like yearly pay
> No IRC no torrent and no other illegal stuff.
The word “other” really does have no place here.
Fixed.
The WHT offer says no support comes with the mentioned plan. Later described as “means there’s no support about any software or os or other problems except hardware or network problem.”
At least they’re honest. An honest unmanaged host is a thousand percent better than a “100% fully managed” one who can and will only do things from the CPanwl/WHM GUI, and dismisses anything else as “unsupported”.
As for the communism thing below, pfff. The average Chinese has as much to do with Communism as the average Labour voter has to do with the working class. :)
don’t buy anything from communist.
wow. is communist that bad?
Who knows but the sock puppetry around here is growing.
The thing is, every other component on that flashy Dell/Supermicro server that powers your VPS is probably made in China. And the modern China is far from being “communist” and if you go to Shanghai or Guangzhou they have pretty much capitalism in its core.
Hello,guys.
China is not communist. The Party said it’s communist. They just try to fool the people they are ruling.
I’m trying to be a honest person.
Sorry, many things are “Made in China”.
to be honest,, if their no china in this world,, we should be go back to prehistory period.. all computer manufacture is builded in china.. apple, dell, bla2.. if i’m not wrong only fujitsu is still builded in Japan..
As for the offer itself, looks way overpriced even beyond the reasonable Xen’s “premium” to OpenVZ, transfer limit is too low, yearly payment only doesn’t add confidence. Well, if only they’d have servers in actual China, that would have been very interesting.
Ye…. no. Just, no. Compare it to the last two 128MB Xen offers here on LEB, and it’s the cheapest of the bunch, by a subtantial margin.
If you want to be a whiner, complain about the supposed pure-Cogent bandwidth, and the generally less-than-stellar Seattle location. Even then, Cogent isn’t as horrible as it used to be, and Seattle is at least convenient to the pacific northwest, whereas, say, Colorado Springs is convenient to pretty much nobody. :)
NoVPS has been No VPS since 8 May. Showing cPanel default page for now. Dead?
But it says Great success!!!
lol
Said the scammer.
I’m glad you changed your policy on yearly deals, LEA :)
