According to SANS, the first Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack was in 1999, more than 20 years ago. Since then, DDOS attacks have become bigger and more frequent. Today, a DDOS mitigation strategy is an essential part of any high-profile site’s hosting strategy. These attacks often occur frequently in the gaming community and with any site hosting anything remotely controversial.
Have you encountered a DDOS attack? What was the impact? How was it resolved? Please participate in our survey below and we’ll post a wrap-up with all the results to see how DDOS attacks are impacting the LEB community.
