We recently asked you what your plans were regarding CentOS. As you may have read, CentOS is changing and we were curious how the community was going to react.
The results are in! With 270 votes, here are the raw results:
You’ll notice that almost 30% of respondents don’t use CentOS and don’t plan on using it in the future. If we exclude them to focus just on CentOS people, here are the results:
Interesting! About a third of CentOS users are planning to abandon the distro. Of those who are sticking with it, 23% are sticking with CentOS regardless of the changes and 13% will move to RHEL. 30% of users will move to either Alma or Rocky Linux. Only 5% are moving to a completely different distro.
