ProwHost: A New Host Offering VPS Services Around the World (From $3.99/mo)

Welcome, ProwHost! When I first saw this ticket pop up I thought “Prow” was perhaps a foreign word but then I saw the logo and immediately got the connotation.  You know I’m all about cool logos – the ship, the waves in the text…I like it!

For those who aren’t nautical, a prow is the part of the bow (front of the ship) that is above water.  It’s the part that cuts through the water.  (Not only do you get great deals on LEB, but you also learn random facts!)

ProwHost is a new company, formed in 2020 and based in Delaware.  They’re offering service in

  • USA: Ohio, Virginia, Oregon
  • Canada: Montreal
  • Europe: Frankfurt, Paris, Ireland, London
  • Asia/Pacific: Tokyo, Sydney, Seoul, Mumbai, Singapore

That’s quite the global reach.  I made a map of their locations and as you can see, the sun never sets on ProwHost’s servers:

Good chance they’ve got something in your neck of the woods, so if you’re looking for VPS hosting, check them out.

They’re registered in Delaware (EIN 32-0639950) and their ToS is on their web site.  They accept PayPal and credit cards.

Here’s what they had to say:

“ProwHost was established in 2020. Aiming to gain an important share in the web hosting and cloud server sector since its establishment, ProwHost continues on its way with sure steps.”

    • Hello there,

      It supports CentOS version 7.

Also; Debian 8, Debian 9, Debian 10, Ubuntu 16, Ubuntu 18 and Ubuntu 20 are supported.

If you consider Kansas-City location, we have different plans.

On those plans, CentOS 6 is supported in CentOS 8.

Do you support custom ISO’s (e.g. FreeBSD, OpenBSD)?

    • Hello there.

Unfortunately this is not possible yet. However, we have added work on this to our calendar.

  4. Seems interesting at first look, but the Virginia looking glass link displays a London server and all LG addresses appear to be AWS addresses. Maybe this doesn’t matter to anyone, but worth pointing out.
