rob not the best one on here to know about all this stuff for more of you hardcores. Though after my last provider seemed shady I decided to move to a new one. I used LEB and at the time this was one was adverted on the page…as well some company from Singapore i was choosimg between. I decided it might be a hassle to have a foreign IP address for my uses and while I prefer the NYC or NJ IPs as I live on east coast. I decided to go with them cuz at the time they had a good anount of HDD space which is what I personally need more than CPUs or Transfer bandwith as Im atypical than most guys here tho. I dont run a website on it. I really just use it to occasionally launch my weekly python scripts via cronjob that do certain personal IFTTT type tasks, to store backed up cloud data (as I DeGoogle my life), and sometimes as a VPN proxy. I dont even have a DNSname. However the company has not given me thus far anything to complain about for my usage case. They did change my IP one time initially as they expanded and i see one issue of scheduled downtime that was aleeted a week in advance in my emails history. This will be my 2nd year with em however and as i said my usage pattern is different but if your similar to me give em a go

    • Hi Usman Ali Qureshi, thank you! We sincerely appreciate your interest in working with us and are equally excited to work with you!

Our shared/reseller platform is designed with redundancy and performance in mind. We’ve designed our shared/reseller servers with enterprise SSDs, in a RAID-10 – this provides redundancy with a performance boost customers can appreciate. In addition our shared/resellers are able to request backups, at any time, as we provide backups. This is for added peace of mind – your end users would enjoy this. Additionally we’ve invested in paid third-party software to help with performance, i.e Litespeed webserver. As well as other tools such as CloudLinux to ensure everyone is happy, and is able to enjoy our service while being allocated generous resource limits.

As a bonus, your customers might enjoy Softaculous (we provide it to you, which they’re able to enjoy as a result) helping them streamline installations/upgrades with ease.

By the way, our service is white labeled, so your end users would not know about RackNerd :) I am confident you’ll be happy with the level of service we provide.

I’m on the same boat. Except I bought their reseller plan for $45 a year. The owner Dustin and I spoke over the phone and I’ve learned to stay quiet with him and listen. He’s the type of guy who cares to help from the sense I got speaking to him. I know his time is important but he’ll chit chat with you which makes the buying experience special. By default we do not have this feature enabled, though the good news is that our support team is available 24×7 and can download/mount an ISO at anytime, just ticket in and we’ll help :)

      • Hi Dustin,

We will really appreciate if you will add FreeBSD official as an ISO so we can install it through the SolusVM. I am also an existing HAPPY CUSTOMER of yours with 2 Linux and 1 Windows servers.

KUDOS TO THE GREAT WORK AND AWESOME SUPPORT SO FAR.

        August 27, 2020 @ 6:16 pm | Reply
        • Hi Usman,

Thank you again for your business, and for the kind words!

At the moment we do not have a template for FreeBSD available. We frequently update our template selection based upon what SolusVM makes available officially. However, we do have a handful of customers who run FreeBSD on their KVM VPS’s with us, and they do this by opening a ticket and requesting an ISO to be mounted. From there, you can complete the OS installation via the HTML5 Console.

  20. Shella:

I am interested but have a few questions…

Are these resellers accounts have the option to backup and restore cPanel accounts with JetBackup?

    September 22, 2020 @ 12:45 pm | Reply
    • Hi Shella,

We were previously handling restore requests for our daily backups for our shared and reseller hosting servers manually, meaning that whenever customers needed a backup snapshot retrieved or restored, they would before have had to contact our support team. Well, say good bye to this traditional method! As part of our ongoing efforts to introduce infrastructure stability – today, we are further empowering our customers with more tools and features, all at no additional charge. RackNerd is pleased to announce our new JetBackup feature, now immediately available for all shared & reseller hosting clients. Here at RackNerd, we continue to find ways to enhance our valued customer’s experience. We greatly appreciate your business!

RackNerd is now partnered with JetBackup to handle daily backups for all of our Shared Hosting & Reseller Hosting servers. Additionally, customers will be pleased to know that our backups are fully off-site, and segregated to ensure optimal performance. We re-replicate all of our backups to multiple points of presences (POPS) in off-site disaster recovery datacenters, all while without compromising quality or performance to the end user or the actual production server.

What does this mean to you? Well, this means you can now access backups at your fingertips, on demand. At any time of your desire, you can now view your available backups within cPanel, and choose to either Download it to your computer, or to Restore the backup from the given backup snapshot. Within JetBackup, we are holding 3 retentions (up to the most recent 3 backup days). It’s like having a Time Machine, but for your website!
