“WaQas Lal” from Saaki.net emailed me a while ago, and you can also see it advertised on WHT. Here is another KVM-based provider, with price starting at $7/month for the following VPS.
- 128MB memory
- 8GB storage
- Unmetered bandwidth
- Linux KVM
Direct sign up link here. They got some popular Linux distros as well as Windows Server 2003, although I think it will be next to impossible to run on 128MB of memory. 64MB KVM is also an option at $5/month. “Unmetered bandwidth” is a bit ambiguous, i.e. how fat is the pipe? On this WHT post last month it mentioned 100Mbps uplink, but again I have no idea how saturated the pipe is. Servers in Tampa FL with Hivelocity (test IP: 96.31.74.168).
Domain was registered in 2005, although Way Back Machine have archived it as a dating site back in 2006. WHOIS info leads to a hotel in Pakistan.

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
I’m getting SSL error with them.
Chrome 10 + Windows 7 Working fine.
They’re using Wildcard SSL. Maybe that’s why.
Firefox 4 raises the SSL error as well. Looks like they are doing wildcard with StartSSL.
I actually suspect it is not a wild card certificate, I used to do this test where I put in a cert request for *.mydomain.com (single domain cert), I will get a cert back but Firefox will complain no matter what the https page I tried to go to. I think they might have used the same.
What’s your browser & OS?
@LEA — two KVM posts in a day 🙂 I think it is time to put the KVM tag into your homepage header 🙂
+10 for that!!! 😀
just need more time to see they offering LXC, vrituozzo, etc. :p
Their using a Joomla template that anyone can buy http://www.youjoomla.com/youstorage-joomla-hosting-template.html
Wondering who is daring enough to try a company located in a hotel room in Pakistan 🙂
Oh this is Saaki the famous reseller and wht spammer
And this this Ville, who should know that he or she should be either explaining him or herself or providing a link that does so.
Please remember that “Tits or Go F’ Yourself” isn’t just an internet meme, it’s a requirement for life. 🙂
You drunk? Or can you explain yourself sorry, I don’t understand?
I think that Doc said that he would like to hear more regarding your accusations. Saakis “famous” reputation obviously didn’t reach us yet so “famous reseller and wht spammer” out of nowhere means very little to us as long you don’t tell us more.
Ah okay. Just search on webhostingtalk. He use to bump all the I’m
looking for a vps with his signature and spam all those kind of
threads promoting himself until he got banned and ran of to
warezjunction. Also if you see his offerings he offers loads of vps
from burst thrust rapidspeeds etc.
I think zhang aka william from edis made a thread somewhere on WHT
listing where waqas re sells from.
zhang aka william from edis? I think that you’re mistaken here. William “Zhang Ltd. HK” Zhang-Shiu doesn’t seems same as William “Edis” Weber but as it seems both live in Austria.
btw. when you said WaQas bells start to ring… No need to search over WHT anymore 🙂
Damn… it seems like you’re righ and this guy run two identities. I noticed that Zhang-Shiu use at his str0.at website ww@… mail adress (william weber?) and then I whoised domain str0.at (http://www.nic.at/en/domainsuche/) and there appeared also edis tech contact with edis nameservers. Interesting.
pretty sure there are multiple williams at edis. like four?
lol 🙂
Yeah, as example two of them post in this same thread:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-1054700.html
One Will use nick Zhang and other Will use nick EDIS 😛
and yeah, when i hear ‘waqas’ i remember “the guy where i have to report literally every single worthless post he makes”
saaki, net is a fraud. They just still your money. Had to start dispute on PayPal with those assholes
