Servarica - $6.99 256MB Xen VPS in Canada

Servarica Hani from Servarica emailed me their special package for LowEndBox readers. Their 1 Share instance starts at $10/month, with this code posted on WHT you can get it for $8/month, but if you are happy with less disk space and less monthly data, you can sign up this package for $6.99/month.

  • 256MB memory
  • 8GB storage
  • 250GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
  • Citrix XenServer

Servers with Netelligent in Montreal Canada (test IP: 209.44.111.89). No adult sites, no IRC servers and no non-personal proxy servers. They have been in business for around 10 months. Domain registered in August 2010 with WHOIS privacy. They use they own in-house control panel for basic functions such as starting/stopping the servers. They are also the developer of a Xen module for WHMCS integration, which they appeared to have purchased 10 months ago along with some customers.

  6. It is very cheap at that price, i love it, what i do, and what i would suggest, is to use two hosting provider, along with a domain name seller that let you use their dns, and configure your domain manually. This is what i do, i have two “A” Record pointing to my vps ip address, (@ and *). Then i have an “MX” Record pointing to my web hosting provider, that as unlimited email and mailling lists, this is perfect because hosting email on my vps would be complicated, and it would slow the whole thing down. Finally, i use nginx as a webserver because its way faster than apache, when configured properly. And i have nginx setup as a nginx proxy(very simple to setup) for /Mailman adress so that users can get to the mailling list configuration.

    I just love this setup.

    Hi,

I’ve been shopping around for a good and reliable vps provider. Servarica (and particularly Hani) exceeded my expectations and I’ve finally selected them after reviewing my other options. A+ Support. Great prices. And their datacenter is among the best ones. I suggest you try to their service and if you hesitate, Hani is very open and responsive, so contact him.

Happy customer. I’ve been with them for 2 months.

Although the price may not be too cheap, I am impressed with the performance of the server, the support is pretty fast as well :)

I recently (3 weeks ago) signed up with Servarica and wanted to give my opinion. Quite simply, the service is amazing. It’s extremely stable, speeds are fast and you get exactly the resources you pay for (no overselling).

Hani is always there to help and is super easy to talk to, he’s professional when it comes to issues yet makes you feel comfortable. He’s knows his stuff and it doesn’t take him long to get back to you. Out of all the VPS hosts I researched this one is definitely a good buy. You will not be disappointed for trying Servarica.

Hi, just checking in for anyone who is still uncertain about Servarica. I’ve now been with them for 4 months and everything works great! I’ve had no issues and I’m now running 2 game servers, a voice server (mumble), mail server and web server. It’s stable as can be. If you’re still having trouble finding a VPS provider give Servarica a try, that’s all I can say. The rest will speak for itself.

  13. John:

Very poor experience with these guys. I try to order and it gets flagged as a maxmind issue. Not on a vpn/proxy and I own about 25 VPS and have never once got a maxmind flag.

So, I contact their live support and get told to make a ticket, 2 days, no response.

Go back, and then get live chat where the agent tells me this (yes, in caps), “YOU MUST HAVE A BROKEN COMPUTER, WE NEVER HAVE THIS ISSUE NOBODY HAS CANNOT BE FIXED BY US”

Now most of us here run whmcs so we know that is a ridiculous, stupid and unprofessional answer. I have let word of this out in several places including on WHT where about 200 other members have shared their horrible experience with these guys.

It’s 2012, who cares how good your service is if your customer service is poor and you are rude. You should fire all your staff and hire new staff if you have any plan on making money, our company has grown 400% in two months thanks to GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. That is the key.

Anybody who wants respectable service… stay away.

    • Hi John,

First of all I need you to understand that it is our interest to accept you as a customer with us especially that you may order more than 1 VPS from us.

That being in mind, you have to understand that we are obliged to keep our existing clients experience as good as possible.

The issue will appear when the action of accepting new customer will affect the experience of our current customers in a bad way. In this case we will refuse to accept the new customer to keep the experience of our current customer base as good as possible.

The situation is that you are ordering VPS for your free2surfvpn service which is an anonymous proxy that one of its features that it does not log what your users are doing on the VPN. Although I understand that this kind of service have some legit use cases, I believe that many of the use cases of such service are either illegal, not allowed by our ISPs or affecting our service quality.

From our experience any public proxy/VPN service is destined to be used in either spamming or attacking other networks. These activity will result in either marking our IP blocks as spamming blocks or affecting the reputation and the performance of our network.

These results are bad for our current customers and they will not like it if the network get slowed down due to an attack or if their emails get marked as spam. (Not to mention that these activities are illegal and unethical in most cases)

Due to these reasons we cannot accept any order that we know that it will be used as a public anon proxy/vpn service.

I hope you can understand our position now and we hope that you will find a service provider that is open toward public VPN orders.

      Good luck
      Hani

  14. Just as an extra note.
1- no thread was opened on WHT and definitely there are no 200 customers that think we are horrible.(anyone can search for us and will understand that this is not true).
2- I have revised all chat transcripts between our support team and John and I never found the message he mentioned in his post here.
Actually John answered the following to one of his chats with our operator

I have the full chat transcript if any one wants to see it

I am extremely sorry that I have engaged in this argument but I am afraid that someone who does not know us will think that what he claimed is true in any way.

John please understand, we cannot accept you as our customer. It is not personal it is business.we are sorry but please try to get over it.

I hope this will be my last post about this issue

    Thanks

  16. John:

Hello – Note, your response is poor. If you had proper customer service you would consult the use of our service, just because I own a company for VPN, which does have a STRONG anti piracy and DMCA policy, read our policy, we are not anonymous, we keep USAGE logs and have a 24 person abuse team that tracks down poor uses daily.

Furthermore, we also use VPS to host portions of our website such as our INTRANET. We planned to use yours for a Canadian mirror. We did not plan to use your service for VPN uses, we uses dedicated and owned hardware for that. We do not have a Canadian DC outside of Vancouver and we wanted a site mirror in a seperate geographic region.

It is poor on your behalf to EVER assume a customers use for your service.

That is in fact, a mistake on your behalf which says a lot about you as a person and a company.

Anyway interested in dealing with you should consider your poor customer interaction skills first.

Also good job at reporting by WHT thread and getting it removed, hide the evidence. Very poor business strategy.

      Thanks for showing us this.

      Have a good holiday season.

  17. For any conversation to be productive or useful both parties should agree on saying the truth at least. Once that condition is not met the conversation will be of no value.

    Good luck
    Happy holidays

Precisely my thought. Unfortunately we are much lager, more trusted and more productive than you and you could not come to this truth with us.

Thank you for your time and we respect you for your opinion, however racist and incorrect it may be.

    Happy Holiday!
