SSD VPS have been featured on our site a few times before. They have recently launched a new Toronto, Ontario, Canada location located at the Peer 1 datacenter. Nodes are using the Intel Xeon E3-1240v2 Quad Core CPU, 4x 480 GB Intel 520 Series SSD and a LSI 9260-4i with BBU providing hardware RAID 10. Reviews on their previous offer were fairly mixed. Benchmark tests performed extremely well but some users seemed to have had problems with their support team. SSD VPS’s website is available in chinese.

SSD VPS accepts payments via PayPal, Visa and Mastercard. According to their website, all their services come with a 72 hour money back guarantee. All servers come with free automated daily backups (using SolusVM FTP automated backups) with two days retention. Plans will be instantly activated upon payment receipt. Unfortunately, as they’re with ColoCrossing, IPv6 is not available at this time. Legal adult content and gaming is allowed. For more information, please review their Terms of Service.

Isn’t this one of Chris N’s brands (SSDVPS, ServerMania, Aim2Game, VPNCast and VPSAce)? Isn’t this literally the 13th time one of his brands got featured since March? =/

I dont see a problem, make a brand get some clients, merge them and then sell them = profit.

Because ColoCrossing can’t do it with their crummy network infrastructure.

Been experiencing approx 30% – 50% packet loss now for two days between these two hops.

Worth getting? Was considering Servarica for Canadian-side ops but SSDVPS is cheaper & includes 2wk snapshots.

I tried one, since the 4 IP addresses seemed like an especially good deal. I’ve had trouble with the VPS going down, repeatedly. Support is telling me that it’s because I’m running postfix on the VPS. In responding to one ticket, they said, “Please be advised that mailing on our network is not allowed,” even though the TOS does not prohibit that. You may want to check with them about whether you can really do what you want to do with your VPS before paying.

      I have confirmation from them:

        Then something is amiss:

        >As long as there are no more than 250 simultaneous email connections you should be safe,
        >but again like was stated previously, any abuse reports we receive could leave your container(s)
        >liable for termination. We have a monitoring system that detects excessive amounts of smtp data
        >flowing at any one time, hence the 250 limit, that should keep you under it’s triggering limit.

I signed up for this deal last year, SSDVPS has been great, the only thing I would bring up is that they just recently completely blocked port 25, both incoming and outgoing which means that my domains are no longer able to receive email. Maybe time to look elsewhere.
