  1. Is IPv6 also available? (I’m having trouble finding any support section on your website that might answer this.)

Hey there, yes IPv6 is supported in Dallas, and an address is automatically added on each server.

    Hi,

Just wanted to be 100% sure before ordering – when you say 1 CPU core, do you mean a dedicated core or are the cores shared and subject to a fair use policy (like a load average)?

    Thanks

    • Matt Connor:

Good question, these are all fair share. I’ve answered this in another thread:

“We don’t have any restrictions on what you can run on the server, but of course we ask that you be mindful that it is a shared resource. If there’s anything running that is disrupting other customers, then we’ll reach out to you to see if we can find a better solution for your needs. In the worst case, we’ll temporarily throttle the CPU for that container (this is very rare). Let me know if you need any clarification at all.”

The only thing stopping me from ordering is the fact that my webapp doesn’t work on OVZ :(

    • Matt Connor:

That’s a bummer, what about your app specifically doesn’t work with VZ?

    No KVM options?

    October 30, 2016 @ 11:44 pm | Reply
    • Matt Connor:

We do have KVM options with different pricing, we’re currently out of stock at the moment. If you want to be put on a waiting list, just open a ticket.

  5. rm:

KVM, and this could have been impressive. With OVZ everyone knows high RAM VPSes are oversold by several times. And now it’s also overpriced.

    • Matt Connor:

We have KVM options available, just out of stock at the moment. We have lots of monitoring in place to ensure everyone is getting their fair share of resources, and have a proprietary workload rebalancing algorithm that moves customer servers to other hardware depending on their usage, to ensure we’re able to offer both high quality services at the best price.

  6. I have just ordered one, this is a very good offer, I just hope that it will work as expected.

I am concerned for the price of the packages and the amount of RAM that they have, such a good deal seems to be done by overselling it. But we’ll see! :D

I purchased on of their plans a few deals back, some 1GB OpenVZ plan. I was satisfied with the VPS, and decided to upgrade to the 2GB variant. Absolutely phenomenal service, I didn’t notice any downtime over the 5+ months I had a service with them. Their support is friendly and polite. And their TOS aren’t “You cough too hard, we’ll terminate your service and keep your money”.

I had instances with several providers that I found on LEB but ended up consolidating all my servers over to SSD Nodes right after the new year (2016) and I have absolutely loved it. I ended up moving the entire infrastructure for several domains over with a few 8GB instances and not so much as a blip.

Between the reliability of the service, Matt being flexible on pretty much anything within reason and the incredible support, hands down the best provider I’ve been with.

    Thanks Matt.

    • I ran into the same problem. I was trying to use a new credit card, and couldn’t remember which address I used, so it was really my fault. OTOH, it’s been four days since I opened a support ticket about this problem, and no reply. :( Not a good sign.

I know there aren’t restrictions on your bps hosting but how about minecraft since it can at times hit the hard drive read write

Minecraft should be fine, as long as you keep an eye on the load and make sure it doesn’t use too many resources.

I also wanted to post this, which is from another thread where someone asked something similar (about resource usage):

“We don’t have any restrictions on what you can run on the server, but of course we ask that you be mindful that it is a shared resource. If there’s anything running that is disrupting other customers, then we’ll reach out to you to see if we can find a better solution for your needs. Hey Saijad, unfortunately this is an unmanaged service. It’s heavily discounted from our normal rates, and that’s because it’s designed for people who just need the servers and can do the management part themselves. I recommend getting a contractor that can help you with the migration part, you can find one inexpensively on upwork.com or something similar.

I’ve been with SSD Nodes since March 2016. I have had no issue and my server is smoking fast and is consistently inline with the numbers posted above. If there has been any down time I have not noticed. I have to say Matt acts more professional and courteous here than some of the other folks I have signed up with from this site. I hope you stick around for a while. I am enjoying the speed and glad I got in on an earlier cheaper special ;)

    Hi Matt,

I’m interested in your LowEndBox X-Large package. Could you please clarify whether the annual cost will increase after the 1st year subscription expires? if yes, how much? Do you offer money back guarantee after initial trial just in case your VPS doesn’t fit my needs?

    Thank you,

    John
