Disappointed that they haven’t gone with slogan ‘The only thing Tragic is the name!”.

Hehe, that would be a good one.

  4. Trent:

I am weary of OpenVZ due to limits of kernel header access for compiling applications which need it, and trouble installing SSL certificates.

Well this isn’t really the place to comment about OpenVZ. There are OpenVZ forum and LET.

Who are you to say that?

Maybe he will come back on seeing my comment and offer a special on KVM, or Xen?

        • We are working our way up slowly and starting with OpenVZ first. Hopefully in the future, we’ll be able to offer KVM.

Maybe you could have just said, “Any KVM or XEN options?”

        • Just to add to what I said earlier. If we fill this node up, our next one will possibly be KVM with a similar, if not, better offer.

There’s no need to be hostile, Trent. perennate was just being nice.

  5. Just a quick update, we ran out of IPs in our current block and waiting for another IP block. Once, it’s available all orders pending will be provisioned.

I have the 1G/4core package. So far, so good, though I’ve only played with the OS itself (nothing that taxes a server). The comment from Trent is spot on: can’t seem to get docker or apparmor working with any CentOS or Ubuntu builds they offer (and their Debian versions doesn’t support docker). Reboots and rebuilds are lightning-fast.
