  2. Just signed up for the $5 a month plan.

Got an e-mail saying I had to send a scan of my ID or some other identifying document.

Sent it in, and 15 minutes later, we’re good to go!!

Personally if they ever ask for something like that i would say forget it. They have no right to ask for it and would be useless to them anyways if fraud happened.

Order went through quickly for manual activation, but I’m not seeing a 2GB burst on mine.

    • Their WHT post just says “1GB guaranteed” although their email to me says “2GB memory” –> so I thought it would be 1GB guaranteed/2GB burstable. All their other plans have double the burstable than guaranteed memory.

Some of us here have proffesional businesses to run here and for me as a designer I can spot where things have been inspired from. Im not saying its a bad thing that you where inspired by our design. Just a little email asking if you could do something slightly similar and I would have respected that.

I dont see any similarities in our site and HostGators except the fact that we both use a VPS slider. Which was taken from our HostBill installation with permission from HostBill.

I will be investigating this in more detail when I am back in the office.

I also understand that english isnt your first language but you really need to improve it. I know mine isn’t the best especially on my iPhone. But your using words that 12 year olds now feel embarressed to use “LOL”. To maintain any sort of proffesional image I suggest you rethink who conducts your public relations on websites such as this.

I’d avoid this host. I ordered the Xen package, the machine is oversold. It takes 20+ seconds just to do a directory listing (ls) on a directory with 2 files in it. When you contact support, he replies in unintelligible broken engrish saying that it is impossible to oversell since it is Xen.

Yes, it may be impossible to over-allocate resources on Xen, but there is nothing stopping a server admin from running both OpenVZ and Xen on the same box. I have done it before. Just because my Xen resources are not oversold does not mean he does not have 1000 OpenVZ clients on the same box, therefore overselling. You have to oversell at these prices, but you should also make sure the service is usable.

Sadly PayPal sided in his favor, so I am out $3.60, which is not a big deal, but I figured I should warn you all, you better have alot of patience using this service. I could not even use it as a remote file backup. Utterly useless.

Didn’t know it was possible to Run xen and openvz on same box, I knew it was possible for KVM and openvz. And overselling is extremely easy on Xen. You have to oversell with most Low end plans.

I personally believe that I would never want to go as low as $4.95 for 1GB Ram. You simply can not afford to provide quality support for a customer at that price.

If I wanted I could beat your price, but that would result in me being unable to manage the company sustainably. I strongly doubt that you have a rock solid business plan behind Up2VPS. Also may I just ask Daniel why you didn’t start your own hosting company up? Oh wait you already had one.

Matthew, take some advice. Flaming Daniel in EVERY useless, negative, unconstructive comment you have made here doesn’t make him look bad, it makes you look terrible.

I don’t know whether I would get an account at Up2VPS (nothing to do with anything you’ve posted), but I know for fact now, by your totally unprofessional, immature behaviour here, that I will never ever consider LoveVPS.

Perhaps your time would be better spent concentrating on your own business, Matthew, rather than endlessly grinding your axe over another VPSs here, and losing potential customers as a result.

Okay my VPS was down for a day they were working on fixing the issue.

My VPS is back but I had a complete data loss, the VPS was remaded (not my old machine).

I had tons of work into it I demand a explanation and a solution. If Up2Vps doesn’t have a backup of my VPS I demand a refund.

Yeah looks like volumedrive provides bad hardware to their costumers, Up2Vps didn’t have any fault in this.

Daniel is doing a very good job on helping !

          @Daniel

If I had a datacenter I could get any hardware part in a few hours.

          Volumedrive is being kinda slow.

    Hi,
We got a windows box from up2vps last month and to be honest, we have had a smooth ride till now.. The bandwidth or the i/o sometimes seems to get overloaded but thats understandable.. The good thing is support which till now is good except their broken english which takes the issue understanding and resolution few rounds of emails but thats ok i guess..For example, we had a windows startup issue after an update, uk2vps guys got it resolved after a few round of broken english conversation in matter of 30 minutes so well done guys.

However, I am on dispute currently on their un fair attitude to old customers over pricing. They are offering same package as ours (win40) for about 15 dollars wheres as we pay 20 dollars.. this is grossly unfair seeing its same package.. how we would feel customer paying less and being in the same node as us.. This is annoyingly discriminate. The resaon they gave us is our node is expensive when they got it and now the node they have is cheaper.. On what basis my node is expensive.. We didn’t brought a node, we brought a package..unless they guarantee our node will have few vps accounts then the cheaper one but they said or mentioned it.. So we are paying more for the same exact package which anew customer is paying less..

It seems to us, they have few spcae left in the node at our price and to sell those few spaces they have brought down the price.but this is so unprofessional.. so unfair .. and highly discriminate..

Up2vps, keep your customer in mind before you start any package or write a policy.. internal systems or rules are shaped on customer use and not vice versa.. Hope you do the changes and give the same level of service and policies to customer get the same packages/account specs..

    Regards,
A Happy up2vps but annoyed customer

I’ve had a horrible time with this VPS provider, and I would strongly urge others to avoid them at all costs. They advertise a 99.9% uptime SLA guarantee, but I experienced over 10 hours of downtime with them over a 2 week period, and all they would say is, basically, “too bad.” These guys care more about getting and keeping your money than taking care of their customers or providing good service.

Ask them what the terms of their SLA are, and what they do for their customers when the violate their SLA. Then run as fast as you can and find a reputable VPS provider.

The full story, including my interactions with their support guys, is on my blog:

Becare of this “Black Shop”. UP2VPS is a Internet Fraud indeed.

They charged me twice times(Linux Yearly Plans) and could deliver any service to me. They just said my VPS is suspended and rejected to refund.

They also wanted to charge my bank account recurrently but luckily my bank stops the payments after 2 times were made to them. Now, I reported the case to Police and asked the bank to stop all payments to this “Black Shop”…..
