Admin at VPSDeploy have sent us their latest ultra lowend offer on their SSD based plans with price tag of $12/year having the following specs
MiniVPS-0
- 64MB RAM / 128MB Burst
- 2 GB SSD
- 500 GB BW/month @ 100mb port
- 1 vCore @ 1 Ghz
- OpenVZ / SolusVM
- 1 x IPv4
- 0 x IPv6 (ETA Q3-2012)
- 2 x Snapshot backups in SolusVM
Servers hosted in OVH France and daily offsite backups taken in Germany Hetzner which clearly shows their efforts to protect customer data. Its about time I saw another ultra lowend VPS offer (memory wise). Snapshot backups in SolusVM is certainly a plus and not popular among LEB providers

Can you do anything with more ram? Or do you charge for upgrades – what is the cost
Hi Paul.
you can upgrade to the next MiniVPS with 128MB or 256MB RAM
https://vpsdeploy.com/lowendssd.php
Also you can select a LowEndSSD, starting with 1GB RAM at $6.99/m
https://vpsdeploy.com/lowendssd.php
And if you need more than 1 Ghz of CPU, you can select the basic VPS levels, starting $4.99/m with 1vCore@2Ghz or more

Sorry, we dont provide custom packages.

*bad link, corrected:
you can upgrade to the next MiniVPS with 128MB or 256MB RAM
https://vpsdeploy.com/minivps.php
Thanks for that – Pretty cheap, going to give it a go!
make it 128MB ram..64mb is useless
Are you taking the piss? I was able to run WP on 32MB of ram. Learn to optimize and remove shit, there’s scripts out there that does this (Minstall, Tuxlite)…

Can you double-check the test IP, this one doesn’t seem to be correct.
try 178.33.117.1
Hi,
I’m sorry, the provided URL links are in onther datacenter. we are doing some tests in a spanish datacenter, by the moment is in BETA and for internal use (our website).
All VPS are hosted in FR. You can test the VPS network here:
http://fr.vpsdeploy.com/
http://fr.vpsdeploy.com/10MB.file
http://fr.vpsdeploy.com/100MB.file
IP: 176.31.4.2
PS. In the spanish datacenter, also we will provide SSDs and IPv6. It will be available in Q1-2013.
Regards.
Do they support pptp vpn and tun/tap for openvpn ?!
Hi anony,
you can request to activate by ticket, we verify some things before to actiavte:
– You need configure a real domain/hostname with public whois
– You need setup the reverse PTR record: https://vpsdeploy.com/knowledgebase/55/How-to-configure-the-Reverse-PTR-Record.html
This verifications are do because we dont permit anonymouse VPNs using our network.
Regards.
I hope you’re aware that our domains ownership isn’t your business and there’s no single reason to own domain at all. Especially not for PERSONAL (private) vpn.
Spirit, Internet official documents (RFC 1033, RFC 1912 Section 2.1) specify that “Every Internet-reachable host should have a name” and that such names match with a reverse PTR pointer record.
You need use your own domain, we dont provide domains service.
You can use your own dns servers if you want, but this a RFC and we respect to prevent hacks from our network.
RFC you’re quoting is 16 years old and if you’re sticking with it and “respect it”:
– it’s you the one who should give out addresses with proper PTR setup
– or you should request domain ownership as mandatory to order your service which would be of course foolish
But as you don’t demand domain as mandatory for ordering your vps service it’s pretty obvious that you don’t “respect” RFC you’re quoting and you request domain only for specific service.
So what I am saying is that you use “RFC” only because it suits you for argument but otherwise you don’t stick with it. Do I need domain when I order your service or not?
How on earth would setting a hostname prevent attacks?
oh yeah i forgot rfc’s have expiration dates
By default, we dont provide managed servers, we can’t assure the content and app’s installed on our VPS’s. For this reason, we dont use our domain as a reverse. Is a way to prevent hacks from our servers, because commonly, hackers dont want configure the reverse.
If you do the reverse configuration, you’re assuring the legimitancy of your service and host usage.
Commonly, hackers don’t want to jump through a hoop? What’s to stop them just setting up a hostname with a domain from freedns.afraid.org?
probably 50% of my VPSes have no hostnames set because they’re not public facing.
This is a silly rule with no real logic behind it.
1- Our website is in a BETA datacenter, DNS servers for PTR are not yet setup.
2- Yes, is mandatory, you can see in our terms: https://vpsdeploy.com/terms.php
Oh, crap – you’re right, this crazy unrealistic rule is even in your TOS. No domain without whois privacy setup = no service with you? Or just no VPNs? :) Anyway bad luck then.. as some ccTLDs (unlike you) protect privacy of private entities with including private whois by default.
Example: If a .si domain is registered by a private individual (not a company), only their e-mail address is visible on the whois. This means that privacy protection is included by default for private individuals.
Not problem if you want use this type of domains. Is Ok.
Is not permited public subdomains like dyndns.org.
I think that Asim Zeeshan should update this offer with “We inform you that if the reverse is not configured, vpsdeploy.com can suspend the service” as it’s unrealistic, unusual and most of us here don’t use domains for every VPS we have.
People who don’t read TOSes get what they deserve.
this is crazy requiring a domain
for your business or my business?
Agreed, maybe they just take extra precautionary measures?
Is minivps-128 MB only available for yearly payment?
Sorry, the MiniVPS offer is only available with yearly payment.

um what.
Thanks for your advice. Solved ;)
Ahaha.
I think they are crazy.
I bought one plan they doubt me will use their service to ddos, after a hour waste, they active the machine and tell me need bind a domain.
OK, I bind one and ping ok, but I can’t set the dns recode by DNS Manager, just one buttom and just return “Zone yourdomain.com already exists”, I test on firefox and IE8, same result.
Then I can’t set ptr record, it just return “Reverse DNS is disabled for this ipaddress. Please contact support” and ”
Cannot resolve NS query. Try again later! in /home/vps…”.
I already open a TK, but I strongly recommended if you want to buy one you must to reconsider again and again.

You need replace “yourdomain.com” for a real domain.
yourdomain.com -> is a example…
Considering how popular our 50-cent VPS offering was, this one is much better for just double the price. Good job, guys!
Got a 64 megger. Now for the setup-debian script! w00t
How long does provisioning take?
Provisioned 5 minutes ago.
Good, fast service. I am impressed.
To set up the reverse DNS, you need to first add the info to your main DNS server.
This guy just a one man reseller of http://www.ovh.com/fr/serveurs_dedies/
I don’t known why lowendbox deny my comment.
I didn’t seek any help I just list the problem happen to me and warning other people.
If lowendbox didn’t allow negative reports , how can I trust lowendbox?
nothing wrong with being one man team, and being reseller
He’s renting a server with OVH to sell VPS, what’s wrong with that?
Ye, I just said he is a one man reseller.
I bought many one man vps but no one like him, doubt customer so much but don’t give his name, his phone call and his work address like anonymous :D
Trust or not, choose is on you.
The comment August 17, 2012 @ 7:48 pm I post, that TK he didn’t reply over a day.
I still can’t setup domain records :(
I think my 24$ will gone after 48h.
Simple steps:
1- Point your domain to the VPS IP. (DNS A record)
2- Setup the reverse in the URL: https://vpsdeploy.com/reverse/
Note: If the domain not point to the VPS IP, you will get error declaring the reverse.
I can’t add zone from DNS Manager.
Before click

After click

Then I wrote a page to post manual.
http://pastebin.com/dGh7FqJT
Now I can setup PTR record.
If somebody have the same problem, just download and open that page.
lol
how long does provisioning usually take i paid my $24 and it’s been at least 6 hours after i got the invoice marked paid but still no server info?
So I really need a domain just to get one of these? :(
Sorry guys. I know this is not the place to show once frustration, but there is no place for me to tell about this company. I haven’t seen any incompetent company like VPSdeploy on this board. Activation is not instant (as they claim on the web site), if you are luck you will get server detail after 1-2 hours, that too an IP address which you cannot login, service is pathetic, high priority tickets were not answered even after two days (still waiting…). And finally, you cannot ask for refund.
Hats of to VPSdeploy.
I request LowEndAdmin to avoid this sort of offerings.
I’m with Sree on this. None of my tickets have been answered, support has been nonexistent. Can’t recommend this at all. Got the MiniVPS-1, definitely wasn’t worth the money, even with the cheapness.
The spanish owner is some one calle Jose Manuel Ginger
Vpsdeploy takes your money and because paypal only gives you 45 days he stole the rest of the money not giving you the service you paid. I had 2 month without service.
This spanish guy erase your server and blocks you if you question the service.
I will report this situation and dinounce this guy to internet authorities for making this scam
Remember and report him to the cyber police.
whats wrong with this web site
i add fund in my account to autopay my month and now i receive message to due payment
i send 3 support tickets No Answear No Life From Admin
Scam Site
Dont Buy Vps
he Stoll Your Money And u Dont Receive Any Things
I’ve been hosting a blog with vpsdeploy & can say this: the support is *NON-EXISTENT*. My VPS is hosted on “cluster001” which has been down for 4 days now… I’ve logged support tickets requesting a status update & ETA when it will be back up with no response.
The whole thing is probably going down due to the increase in OVH’s IP pricing.
There is no way anyone can now offer $12/year VPSes from OVH.
Your server being down could simply mean all their dedis are being turned-off and wiped for non-payment one by one.
