Virtual servers will be deployed instantly, whereas dedicated servers have a 24 hour setup time. VPS servers are Raid 1, but VPSFusion do take Weekly off site backups. Services are prorata billed. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any reviews regarding this provider, except this somewhat confusing post which indicates Hussain previously ran UBhosting. As you may remember, we featured UBHosting twice before.

VPSFusion currently only accept payments via Paypal. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee for their vps servers and provide a 99.9% Uptime guarantee. A selection of different addons are available to purchase for both their virtual and dedicated servers. TUN/TAP enabled on demand. For further information, take a look at their Terms of Service.

Because of the price, we are only able to include 1 IP in the deal. Extra IPs are $1/Month per IP with justification.

On WHT, every single ads from VPSFusion has says Toronto VPS/Toronto Dedicated Server, when in fact his servers/dedis are not in Toronto…

May be time to get the facts straight first?

    April 4, 2013 @ 3:03 pm | Reply
    • Hi Zhuanyi,

We operate out of two datacenters (http://vpsfusion.com/datacenters.html). The Toronto Datacenter is used for enterprise level hosting and colocation. The Brampton DC which is literally 5 KM away from Toronto is used for everything else.

In the international front people are more familiar with Toronto than Brampton. Given that it is 5 KM away from Toronto doesn’t seem bad. I see providers operating out of Hamilton claiming to be in Toronto. I hope that clears your concern.

      Regards,
      Hussain

But if you are not in Toronto and claim you are, that’s a problem. I don’t care if it is 5 or 10 or 100km, you are not in Toronto and you are not, even if you are just a mile away.

And Brampton is waaayyyy more than “5km away” as you claimed:

        https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Toronto,+ON,+Canada&daddr=Brampton,+ON,+Canada&hl=en&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=21.398656,68.730469&geocode=FWoYmgIdcLVE-ymlO8bXkMvUiTF3xLQqUFU1Mg%3BFQWOmgIddds–ym_WtCl6hUriDF3hsN8ZjEtNQ&oq=brampton&mra=ls&t=m&z=11

it is more like 44km, which would mean a big difference for people actually looking for Toronto colocations.

On your WHT ads you’ve given out the Brampton IP and Brampton test download, you can claim that it is close to Toronto, but Toronto and Brampton are just too different cities, even though they are close.

And other people providing false advertising does not mean you have to do the same too.

        April 4, 2013 @ 3:21 pm | Reply
        • Do you even live in Toronto? Brampton falls in Greater Toronto Area. The DC is right off the Toronto Border.

I am really not sure what your problem is.

LOL, now you are talking about the GTA, which is one of the largest metropolitan in Canada, think of it like people who are using Continuum DC claiming they are in Chicago.

My problem is you are not providing truthful information and in a online business when I have to trust my data and my money with you, not providing truthful and accurate information is a big no-no.

At the very least, you are selling your budget line of products and all the info on your sites/ads are from that of your premium line of products. Nothing wrong with a budget offering but at least you should clearly state so.

        • There is no reason to be un-truthful to the clients. The business is run with honesty, trust and respect. I guess its the way you take in the displayed information.

If clients have doubts, they are more than welcome to clear them up before purchase.

Also people know how to run WHOIS these days and find any information not displayed them selves. and in my past 10 years of doing this business, you are the first person to bring this up with me.

I am not here to learn how to run a business from you.

If a provider were to claim location in a city, but actually be in a town on the outskirts of that city, I have no problem with that. It’s about marketing and being competitive, and is NOT being misleading since all their Internet traffic would likely flow through that city anyway. I see providers in northern NJ claim NYC which is like 0.02 ms away. I see Front Range Hosting say Denver but they are really Colorado Springs which is like 1 ms away. Some Los Angeles datacenters are not actually in Los Angeles. It really does not matter, and if it means they can sell more services because more people search for “hosting in [city]” then do it! It is not being misleading.

If they said Calgary but were really in Edmonton, that would be misleading. I saw one VPS provider on WHT say Chicago but was really in Phoenix. That’s just dumb. But if you say NYC and really in Newark, or say Detroit but really in Troy, or say Toronto but really Brampton, and you complain about that for no legitimate reason, then you’re just trolling.

We also peer with Rogers, Hurricaine Networks, Peer 1, Primus, Hydro One, Persona Inc, Execulink, Accelerated Connections, Navigata, WIND, Hosting Logistic, Golden Triangle, Acanac, Terago, Intenet Access World Wide.

Your domain’s WHOIS gives the address of a residential house in OHIO. Where exactly (i.e. which province or state) is your “company” incorporated?

Everything else i didn’t mind. Toronto claim.. Multi Home claim.. The ohio registration..

But declining to show photos of your datacenter.. That screams bad news to me.. Maybe I’m over paranoid.. but when someone declines photos of their datacenter it says to me.. “I have a couple 1tb drives in a full tower case in the corner of my room connected to a leased dedicated line running over copper into my home.”

Why do I think that.. because there are too many like it.

        Sadly I’ll have to pass.

We don’t ask people for their paypal password so we can make sure they are legit.

Also as for the Ohio address, that a legit address and is not my primary residence. I am not sure why people on this forum are indulging in such pointless conversations.

Wow asking for a persons personal password is completely different the asking a company selling a service to show they have quality equipment.

So with your reply it tells me that you are running your Brampton location out if some full box from some closet in your one bedroom apartment. Its been done too many times and they always give the same answer as you did. Thanks but no thanks I’ll pass

        • You can believe what you like. I am here to sell services not post pictures for people who are paranoid for purchasing service for $4.99.

Anyways, you may agree that is is much cheaper now days to colocate than to run a internet connection in your mommy’s basement. I think ppl like you and that Kevin guy must have alot of experience in that and that is why you expect everyone else is doing it.

    • Hi,

We have been co-locating with Velcom for the past 9-10 years. We had good experience with them and thus decide to offer services from their datacenter.

I can’t speak on the experience you had with them but for us it has been a great experience dealing with Velcom.

As for your concern regarding hiding behind domaincontrol whois, This is a service provided by GoDaddy and is enabled by default I think. There is no other reason. I have been involved with hosting for the past 10 years and VPSFusion was started in early 2010 and is still strong :).

So back to blab the beans what I do best :) ubhosting and vpsfusion where is the connection? With a close analysis of WHT I have found that up until a certain time last year all posts were almost identical including grammar and wording and such. With a further investigation of ubhosting I have found that they have been recently sold meaning that they are owned by new owners. I went and checked some way back whois records and have found that there are some similarities when it comes to vpsfusion giving me the idea that its owner at one point in time was the owner of ubhosting before it was sold.

As for velcom, there network is crap and there datacenter is located in a low class industrial sector. The only thing they are good for is low level hosting needs. I have no experience with vpsfusion and there practices but I can vouch that velcom is 100% Garbage.

This post is not and will not be any type of attack against vpsfusion, just a comment to provide some facts!
