What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is our community’s biggest sales days of the year. Providers bring their best offers and some crazy wonderful deals are possible during this period.
The term “Black Friday” comes from US retail terminology, where many retailers run “in the red” (at a loss) during the year, only going “in the black” (profitable for the year) once the Christmas season kicks off, which traditionally was the day after Thanksgiving.
I say “was” because these days, you’re seeing Christmas stuff in stores before Halloween!
Here at LowEndBox, we kick off on Wednesday, November 24 (the day before Thanksgiving), just because we’ve got so many great offers to share.
If this is your first Black Friday, some things to know:
- Many offers are time-sensitive. Providers put out a few “door busters” with limited quantities to attract attention. So if you are looking for a deal, refresh ’til you bleed!
- If you decide to buy, we’d appreciate a comment on the provider’s post.
- Be sure to look on LowEndTalk, as well, which has its own separate monster Black Friday sales thread!

I finally understood what is black friday lol
BF is known today as a sale-discount festival in the shopping sector, contrary to its dark name.
Thank you for sharing. Now I know what Black Friday is. Before that, I just heard people passing that sentence to each other. Wonderful!
