Update: It’s dead. Yet another dead provider killed by serial hosting scammer.

World-Of-Computing.comFound World-of-Computing.com and their virtual private server products, which has one low end “Mini-VPS” plan for $6.95/month.

  • 128MB guranteed / 256MB busrtable memory
  • 5GB storage
  • 50GB monthly data transfer
  • CentOS 4/5, Debian 4, Fedora 7, OpenSUSE, Ubuntu 8.04, Gentoo

IP of their site trace-routed to Colo4Dallas. WHOIS shows that they have just registered their domain name back in May this year with owner/contact from Turkey.

Update: It appears that WoC has dropped price of their OpenVZ-based plans to $5.95/month.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
