@Ixape: It’s just a well-known database to allow spam recipients to lookup the preferred abuse contact address for a domain, instead of having to try to google for it or try random, possibly non-existant addresses like abuse@ or postmaster@. BuffaloVPS’s AUP says they require you to register your abuse contact address with abuse.net before they’ll even consider giving you permission to send out Bulk Commercial E-Mail from their service, or from anywhere else advertising a site hosted on their service.

I actually did not write this, as it is the same as ChicagoVPS AUP. I am sorry for the misunderstanding, and I guess we all learn a little everyday.
However, I have not come across anyone wanting to send bulk email, so when this does happen I now know what to do :)

Same servers, same AUP. They were reselling and using the same, now probably they will modify that legal docs.

Submitted a sales to Buffalo VPS and had the same Chris from Chicago VPS reply to me – Same company behind this?
