gr8 deal… thanks.. so far VPS is good, will keep posted here with my experience
Special thanks to Mike for answering my questions in my ticket! I ended up picking up a small VPS :)
Do you support ipv6? Does that include rdns and ptr records for ipv6?
Do you support custom iso installation or atleast upgrading of existing distributions? Fedora 27 is end of life and won’t be getting any new security updates. I’d like to be running fedora 30.
Wow, that’s lots of bandwidth :)
Hello Everyone,
I’ve purchased a VPS from 81VPS today and wanted to share my positive experience with their support team. They were able to assist me installing Kloxo on my VPS and answer my questions in a sufficient manner.
I would recommend this VPS provider. Helpful support, and fantastic servers.
A bit disappointing so far.
I just ordered one, paid via paypal. The invoice still is flagged as ‘unpaid’ and the server instance is still flagged ‘pending’. I got a ‘payment confirmation’ at 11:07. Now it’s 11:48.
The longest 60 seconds ever ….
(remembers me of techvps.com. semifraud?) … stay tuned.
… here’s the rest of my story:
about 11 hours later I was informed that my KVM is up and running.
Further explanation for the delay was:
– maintenance on Fastwire,
– causing a delay in payment confirmation,
– immediate escalation from 24/7 to the billing team (which is not available 24/7, understandably).
this seems all plausible to me and the communication was competent and friendly.
The KVM is very responsive and if it is there to stay it is a good deal.
What’s a bit strange is that I couldn’t even figure out the companies address.
There is no imprint on the webpage, and according to my receipt I bought the product 81vps.com from FastSpring which is only a payment provider.
I don’t know if that is standard procedure in US but in the EU it would be a clear violation of regulations.
This could be a yellow flag.
yeah it’s bullshit. tried paying via paypal, amazon, credit card. invoice is flagged as `unpaid` ….
没有alipay.
Just like TechVPS, this is a provider to avoid.
The VPS is slow to the point of useless, the Windows Server OS does not include a license, and they do not offer any sort of refund.
Save your money and look elsewhere.
Sent a pre-sales question and got no response.
I bought a 4GB linux VPS. In generally it performs well but their network has no end of headaches. I had 10% packet loss for a while, opened a ticket and they fixed it, now I have extreme congestion at what appears to be their cogent peering. They really need better network guys, the VPS itself has been pretty solid.
i buy a 4GB VPS, with the code MORERAM, i open a ticket for apply the MORERAM code, and all OK.
but when i ask for how to config reverse DNS (rDNS) because it do not appears on control panel
and if they have some ports closed, after more than 3 days with no answer.
be careful.
