As we continue with our LowEndBox Interview Series today we are talking to the owner of LetBox, Mahmoud Elghanam. LetBox is a prominent hosting provider in our community and has been featured numerous times on LowEndBox over the years, with their first listing dating all the way back to November 2012. So let’s get started with the interview.
What can you tell us about yourself, how you got to where you are today, and your role at your company?
Starting in industry since 2006 been over 13+ years working at Arabia company in Middle East (Saudi Arabia) as Hardware management support. In 2010 moved to Qatar and started working as support manager in various environments – Window, Linux. – Web Servers Administration. 5 years of Cooperated with technical teams and sharing information across the organisation – Ability to work. flexible Communication (being able to express ideas and views clearly and confidently in speech, tailoring my content and style to the audience and promoting free-flowing communication), also able to Build positive relationships with customers. In 2012 starting with my owned business with my friend (Tamer Zorba) who has been industry enough years of supporting. We managed to open 2 Locations in West Coast of USA (Los Angeles) and Inland Dallas and we expected to expanding to East Coast later this year with Europe.
What advice would you give to business owners today, or those aspiring to become one?
Communications is the key Win the trust of your client be flexible and smiling , respectfully personalize and you staff make sure satisfy their needs.
Would you recommend the hosting industry as a source of opportunity for entrepreneurs?
Technology is the world today, and hosting is one of its biggest needs to reach this advanced stage, so there will always be more demand for ancillary services.
What is the most significant characteristic that makes your company unique in today’s evolving market landscape?
I can call myself as Monster of Storage VPS and cheapest, quality and reliable services Block Storage since June 23rd, 2018 starting with first Block Storage beta with competitive prices and extraordinary support
What do you enjoy most about your role? What do you find most difficult?
Keep yourself updated with everything happening. it’s difficult and enjoyable at the same time. Working with your staff and Clients as a family Sharing them with occasions most enjoyable in the life and improving the soul.
Tell me about some of the new and exciting things you are working on at your company?
We looking to add more locations and be more flexible in packages as possible to fitting everyone , taking feedback of our clients for more features like snapshots/ backups and we just updated our free monitoring services to be multiple location at same time next level is free alerted SMS for everyone. We was able to upgraded the Los Angeles with A+ B feed power and 10Gbps node port and this will be as standard for any new locations.

That was a good read! I’ve always admired how letbox managed to become the king of storage through their dual nvme/HDD setup at a low price in LA :)
letbox support and business practice has been very shady; VPS renewal after 1 year; they deleted my original 250GB block storage with all of its data without warning and it made it 128GB; ticket support has bad communication and grammar
I had create 2 tickets to get back responses: if letbox, cares about tickets #193096 & #889172
