Same experience here — Used Paypal to checkout, as there was two options, CC or PP :)

  2. We changed the pricing of our plans just last week and I hadn’t yet sent in a new offer :) So yes, the pricing is a little lower.

LFC Hosting has been around since 1996 (not 2006).

  3. I should also mention, the LFC-256 comes with 512MB of swap and 20GB of disk (instead of 256MB and 10GB).

Price may be high but they are 14 years old+ – not a company likely to close down.

    • As I mentioned before, the cost is actually lower now but honestly, for the quality of hardware — I think it is pretty good. It’s 20 gigs of excellent storage + free backups (7 daily, plus the 3 Sundays before that).

      • Everything is ruled by the dollar around here.

You’ll find out that the demand here is driven by unrealistic and unsustainable offers which starts the scam cycle, rinse, wash, repeat

    • Really? Complaining about a price. Think about it… $5.56/month!!

  9. Why is there an image missing on this post of their website? I am just asking because it is less appealing to the human eye without a picture. :P

Yes, it is unfortunate that yet another great provider had to suffer with wrong information and on top of that no image.

      • Wrong information? Please elaborate as I fixed the incorrect information when it was brought to our attention (it’s not our fault they changed the information after we received it and typed it up).

Well, most of it was corrected, but as the first commenter mentioned, they do take paypal.

        • Other than the 2006 date (should be 1996), everything was correct at the time we wrote the e-mail.

We added PayPal after and changed the pricing / plans. I hadn’t yet got a new e-mail off and it wasn’t lowendbox.com’s fault.

I have a VPS with LFCVPS – had a minor issue, sent in a ticket, and had a response from the manager within minutes…

Very good customer service and unexpectedly prompt.

They also went out of their way to work with me on setting up the service.

Night and day difference in customer service from my other “low end” provider.

  11. I couldn’t help but laugh a bit when I read a comment about the price is high?! This service is less than $6/month, how much cheaper do people want and still want a reliable and professional service? This appears to be an established and reliable company, compared to many other cheap providers which are run by kids/students or scammers (yes I’ve found out the way hard way both personally and through clients that some companies run with your money).
