SmallWeb announced Friday that they are being acquired by NexusBytes, effective August 1, 2021.
Full details are available in an email sent to customers, which has also been posted on LowEndTalk.
Michael, the CEO of SmallWeb, said:
“I’m very proud of what I’ve created and now that we have been an active brand in the community for these years it is sadly time for me to step down and pass the torch on to somebody who won’t just maintain the brand, but improve it and grow it to levels that I unfortunately cannot do by myself.”
We recently covered SmallWeb’s London datacenter issue, and during that crisis, Nexus Bytes posted in the thread that they were the upstream provider referenced.
NexusBytes intends to run SmallWeb as a separate brand. We recently interviewed NexusBytes’ CEO and featured them in a LowEndBoxTV Provider Spotlight.
