FrontRangeHosting have been listed on LowEndBox thrice before. This promotion gives you 40% off their normal prices. Their VPS Nodes are built with Supermicro chasis’s and are based around the E5-2620 CPU which runs at 2.0GHz with a turbo speed of 2.5GHz. For diskspace, they use Enterprise 6Gb/s SAS Hard Drives with Intel Gen 2 520 series SSD’s providing SSD caching. They operate their own AS network (AS54856) and own their IPv4 and IPv6 ranges, this allows them to provide services cheaper than other hosts who may be renting.
FrontRangeHosting provide 24/7 support and offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee. They accept major credit cards, Paypal, 2Checkout, Google Wallet and Amazon Pay as payment methods. Unlike most hosts who use the infamous FDCServers to provide services in Colorado, FrontRangeHosting’s servers are located in the Data 102 datacenter in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado (USA). All plans come with a 30 day money back guarantee. For more information, do check out their Terms Of Service and Acceptable Usage Policy.

Good host
Slowest net on US I tried :(
They only peer to Cogent, my least favorite for peering, but the bandwidth generally seems good.
http://serverbear.com/9794/front-range-hosting#view-benchmarks
Not entirely accurate, we peer directly to cogent, and AS33302, which peers to Level3, HE, TWTelecom, RMIX, and Cogent. We just prefroute traffic across the lowest costs paths. If we peered to Cogent only a lot of people would have connectivity issues. If cogent has a route, it goes that way, if it does not it goes across the other path.
We are researching connectivity options for a 2nd uplink, but we want to make sure they have better connectivity to Asia than what we see now.
Ping 800 ms and 0.80-1.00 Mbps is abnormal for east Europe
Lucas normal for us is 140-180ms I even have a monitis ping node out there in Germany and it never shows that kind of latency. Could you post a traceroute?
Image links to the image rather than the site.
Good Host, I have 512 KVM with them, I try and learn Linux on that…
Is TUN/TAP enableb or possible? I see you support a range of linuxus but is it possible to support OpenSUSE 12 or to download a copy myself. This will be my first vpn and would like to run OpenVPN and maybe Java.
Thanks.
We can load OpenSuse ISO’s for KVM, I’m not sure if there is a Suse template for OpenVZ though.
Any test files? Can’t find any. Their FAQ link is 404.
Also the newest KVM nodes are using SAS + Samsung 840Pro’s for Cacheing, but we are eyeing Intel S3700’s in the near future.
Nice offer, very responsive support. Joining with them about 1 month ago and still no issue until now, unless the upload speed is kinda slow. Well you got what you pay.
What script do you use for bandwidth testing?
@Check-host I’m using Sivel’s speedtest-cli, you can download it from here:
https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli
Sign up form shows 2 vCPU, so 4 or 2 cores is correct? :D
2 vCPU, i.e. 2 virtual CPU should be 2 cores in this case.
No the posting above is wrong, I’ll get them to fix that. All plans below 1024MB have 2vCPU, 1024 and up has 4vCPU.
Hurry! grab one! only the last 4 offers!

What? becomes to 40 offers available?
It seems that the ping to China is a litter high?
Depending on where you are in Asia there can be some latency issues due to congestion trans-pacific links. Could you give me your ip excluding the last set of numbers. IE 10.10.10.xxx
does anyone know if they have the os freebsd 9.1 32/64 ?
Yes, you wont see it on the order form just select something and reinstall using the FreeBSD ISO.
Can I install OS from a custom ISO?
We only support official ISO’s for Linux, the *BSD’s, and some custom distro’s like monowall etc. We are not handling Windows VPS at this time.
Thanks, Corney
Front Range Hosting are a great company, I’ve had no problems with them, their prices are good and affordable, and there is no lack in quality. Awesome :)
https://www.frontrangehosting.com/terms-of-service.php got 404ed, bad sign?
It’s here:
https://www.frontrangehosting.com/tos.php
Either they moved the ToS page, or Asim just posted a wrong link.
Old link, I put in a redirect to the new one so that link will work again.
Excellent host, I have 2 node with them with no single problem!
All Paypal is having issues so were trying to process the orders by hand manually as fast as we can. Paypal seems to be having issues sending payment notifications to billing systems after payment so we have to manually dig up the transaction ID’s and load them into our system to verify payment.
The staff are a great bunch of guys and have to say their customer service is far superior to every other VPS company I have used. I unfortunately had to drop their service due to complications outside of their control (cogent through TX causing sporadic response times). Since I was using it for VOIP I had to move to a different provider. I am still keeping an eye on them hoping that they will get better routes in the future because if/when they do I would definitely sign back up again.
Hi Corey,
I have a sales ticket ([Ticket ID: 999855]) open almost for 24 hours.
Could you please have a look..?
Raghavendra,
I see it, I’ll post a reply shortly. I handle all the sales and I came down with some food poisioning and just getting over it.

The promotion code you entered has been applied to your cart but no items qualify for the discount yet – please check the promotion terms
??
Was it for any payment bigger than monthly? If so it should work now, I forgot to check the other billing terms.
One of my favorites.. network seems good for me? I use it for VPNing and it’s a whole lot faster than LA locations. (Californian!)
No problems at all so far
Here are a few of my tests:
Going to give them a try. 2nd time with them, but had to cancel in 24hrs the first time due to unforeseen issues on my side.
They were very quick to refund without any questions during my first purchase. To make up for it I signed up for a year this time. Thanks guys for not being asshats about refunds, especially in the first 24hrs.
Just a followup, everything is running smoothly, and setup was instant.
I have nothing to compare to (other than horrible Chicago VPS, which wouldn’t be fair to FRH to compare them too) but everything seems smooth and responsive.
Using their Debian minimal template.
The LEB link for the KVM-512 has an error.
https://www.frontrangehosting.com/wh/cart.php?a=add&pid=39&promocode=HOHOHO
It’s still coded with the expired HOHOHO code
you need to use FRH40 instead
https://www.frontrangehosting.com/wh/cart.php?a=add&pid=39&promocode=FRH40
Thanks, turned hohoho back on just in case people are hitting it.
I signed up for a KVM-512; so far seems nicely responsive.
Cory,
Let me know if there are any more of the KVM-512 in stock soon, (Maybe at the end of the first month when people drop out)
Ta,
Brendan
Corey,
Any chance of getting Freebsd on your KVM product?
Either a template – or is it possible load my own iso?
PHT
yes, they have FBSD iso and i use OBSD 5.2 iso :)
When will this offer expired? Very nice!
Why KVM appears cheaper than OVZ? Normally it’s the other way around right?
Oops, it’s the huge difference in disk space. Would like to sacrifice OVZ disk space though, if it reduces the cost. :P
Please add payza
Any word on when KVM 512 stock will be added? I’m only seeing KVM ***D plans on your website.
Due to the overhead KVM VM’s generate on the node vs OpenVZ were just about able to break even on the KVM servers. Faced with a choice of raising prices or just stopping offering those plans we have chosen to just offer our KVM-xxxD plans. They’re a better value with more CPU and Disk space, something that many people have asked for after trying a non D Plan and discovering later on they need that extra disk. So in the interest of providing a better customer experience and allow us to bring more servers online were just offering the D plans.
The KVM-512D can be had for 7.00/mo with code 5127D
so what about KVM512 $3 product discontinue? and what about current KVM512 $3 customer?
Current customers are fine, their prices will not change and if you want to upgrade your plan you will retain the discount.
Nice looking plans but has among the scarier TOS that I’ve seen. I backed out of the shopping cart for now.
Paul, Yes our TOS/AUP/Privacy policies were written poorly and I have corrected them. They were leftovers from when we were only engaged in shared hosting so a lot of it did not pertain to VPS’s and such.
FRH40 has expired.
Out of stock now.
Expired ‘;/
Do not purchase vps from frontrangehosting, they have very horrible servers, once I found my vps is offline, then I asked them to fix it, then they gave me an empty online vps. I lost all data on their vps, and when I asked them where my data is, guess what they said:
Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. If you have any backups then please upload in the server since the data is lost.
Thanks for choosing Front Range Hosting
iKY you know we had a power outage in the datacenter and your data is corrupted and non recoverable. Our TOS States that customers are responsible for their data and it’s your responsibility to be making proper backups. We are now making weekly backups, but that is no excuse to not have your own copies of your data. We did not delete your data on purpose it was an act of god. I’m sorry it happened, but you are completely misrepresenting what happened.
