To continue LowEndBox’s new “interesting news” series, we came across this post shared by RackNerd recently, and thought it would be pretty cool to share, considering this is not something you see very often in the web hosting industry. In an industry where a lot of companies are strictly communicating via text, it’s not very often you’re able to put a face to the name, nor build a personal connection with the brand.
RackNerd is a popular provider within the LowEndBox and LowEndTalk community, who was recently elected both Best Provider and Most Professional Provider. RackNerd has frequently contributed content, giveaways, and special deals to the community, and have garnered a reputation for excellent service and support.
RackNerd has launched their very own TikTok channel and they seem committed to posting a large quantity of video content on there. Again, not something you see very often in the hosting industry (besides the LowEndBox TV channel). And it seems to be working. Just a few weeks in and it appears that RackNerd already has various TikTok videos amassing thousands and thousands of views, according to their TikTok profile.
On that note, LowEndBox also recently joined TikTok. Whether or not TikTok is the best fit for LEB, time will tell.
Dustin B. Cisneros, CEO of RackNerd states: “The web hosting industry is extremely vast – there is so much to learn and it is constantly evolving. For example, there are plenty of industry-specific lingo and terms that one can typically only understand by working directly in the industry for years. We’re set out to change that by sharing our expertise of web hosting mainstream – RackNerd’s TikTok channel will feature web hosting tips, business and entrepreneurship advice, Linux tutorials, and more in a mainstream, short-form, and easy to understand manner that both technology enthusiasts and those looking to enter the technology scene will benefit from.”

RackNerd, a global Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and web hosting provider, has announced the launch of its new TikTok social media channel. Effective immediately, RackNerd has committed to delivering frequent video content on TikTok’s platform of over one billion monthly active users.

TikTok is personalized and features a “For You” discovery feed customized to each individual user’s interests. Its short form video format communicates ideas and thoughts to the mainstream audience in a fast and concise way compared to traditional marketing formats.
“Learning and receiving information through short videos is increasingly popular in today’s day and age. Up until now, there has never been a source of consistent video content pertaining to the web hosting industry.” Mr. Cisneros explains and further continues, “TikTok is an incredible communication channel that we’re excited to leverage. TikTok has a platform of over one billion monthly active users and that number is continuing to grow everyday. Knowledge is power, so we look forward to contributing video content to the TikTok platform to help bring understanding to the various technologies and concepts encompassing web hosting.”
TikTok has surpassed all other platforms to become the most popular social media platform among Gen Z. The average amount of time spent on TikTok has increased by 210% year-over-year, and this usage is expected to continue to grow.

Instead of replying on Corporation “””” platforms”””
which have a track record to treat consumers/customers badly , bad privacy track record
and well known to censor unfairly without a standard applied set of rules
These companies are better off self hosting their own social presence
