ServerHost.com has launched a new VPN As A Service (VPNaaS) product with an advanced reseller panel. This innovative service empowers users to add unlimited OpenVPN instances to their VPS, all within their resource limitations. With their user-friendly panel, you can effortlessly deploy and manage VPNs with just a click, ensuring seamless and secure connections.
Neat!
Note these are not usual VPSes. You don’t get root access but manage VPN users through a VPN control panel.
Why a Private VPN?
There are tons of VPN services. In fact, sometimes I think there are more VPN services than humans. When you sign up with a typical service, you’re making a tradeoff. The pros are that it’s easy to setup and usually comes with an end user device client that makes configuring it very easy. Also you are mixed in with others’ traffic and can move from POP to POP with a click. The downsides of a public VPN service is that all your traffic can be logged.
With a private VPN, you are in full control of logging, and can also appear from the same IP consistently if you wish to. You don’t have a jillion POPs to choose from but VPSes are so cheap you can deploy a few if you wish. Indeed, this offer makes this easy!

Can someone explain what this is to me?
What is the difference between this and just getting a regular VPS and installing a VPN server on it to connect to?
Well, I believe it’s a VPS where your access is limited to a user control panel. Hi you don’t get root so you have no real access to disable logging, if your privacy preferences require it. If you buy this then be prepared to be on the hook for what your users do. You may want to reach out to the provider directly to get the fine print.
