Welcome, FranklyMail!
If you’re looking for a mail provider, FranklyMail is one to consider. They’re a small, scrappy startup that is growing rapidly. They just started operations in August and have now passed 200 users. They say:
We built it for individuals, families and small teams who want several real mailboxes without paying a separate subscription for every address. Our pricing is based on pooled storage rather than headcount. Customers manage their domains, mailboxes and routing through our panel and can use webmail or standard email clients. Recent user requests led to shared aliases, replies from alias addresses, pop-out compose windows and customer-visible delivery history. Our focus is everyday correspondence, with bulk sending and resale excluded.

Q&A
We asked some questions with FranklyMail’s leadership to learn a bit more about the company.
Q: Who is FranklyMail intended for?
A: FranklyMail is intended for everyday personal and business correspondence. Our acceptable-use policy prohibits bulk mail, newsletters, cold outreach, mailbox warmup, phishing and transactional sending for third-party products.
Q: Tell us about your security and controls.
Existing controls include domain ownership verification, authenticated sending, sender authorization, two-factor authentication and revocable app passwords. Our SES integration records bounce and complaint feedback for operational review. We also have administrative controls for account restrictions and configurable mail admission limits.
Our response policy for a confirmed compromise is to restrict the affected account’s sending, revoke compromised credentials, work with the owner to secure access and review the cause before restoring normal sending. Abuse-related suspension is permitted under our published terms.
We are formalizing the operational procedures for complaint triage, proactive blocklist checks and incident escalation. We do not want to imply that a fully automated abuse-response system or round-the-clock security team is already in place.
Q: What does the “unlimited” in your offer mean?
We do not charge per domain, mailbox or alias, or impose a numerical plan allowance on those items. One account is for one person, household, team or company using the service for its own correspondence. Reselling or distributing mailboxes to unrelated customers is not permitted.
The $9/year plan includes 10 GB of storage shared across the entire account, not per mailbox. Additional storage costs $0.40/GB/year.
Unlimited mailbox creation does not mean unlimited storage, unrestricted bulk sending or unlimited infrastructure throughput. Protocol, sending-provider and abuse-prevention constraints still apply. We do not impose a fixed daily sending allowance as part of the standard plan. Sending remains subject to our acceptable-use policy, account-specific restrictions where needed, and the limits of the outbound delivery channel.
Our default outbound provider, Amazon SES, limits messages to 40 MB in total after MIME/Base64 encoding, including headers, body and attachments. This is not a 40 MB attachment allowance; mail-client and submission limits may be lower. Provider throughput quotas and relay throttling also apply, so unlimited mailboxes should not be interpreted as unlimited sending capacity.
Q: What is your Boost technology?
Boost is an optional $12/year subscription that adds AI-assisted email writing and editing, plus open tracking. One subscription covers connected accounts, including supported external-provider accounts. Open tracking is subject to recipient privacy protections and is not a guaranteed read receipt.
The base $9/year plan provides the email hosting service without requiring Boost.
Q: Are your IPs clean?
SES deliveries use Amazon-managed sending infrastructure. Our Netcup relay uses static IP addresses allocated exclusively to us, which we manage for outbound delivery. Our primary mail server uses a Hetzner-assigned IP address. We do not announce our own IP prefixes.
Special Offer For Our Readers!
Readers can sign up with [THIS SPECIAL LINK] and for $9 annually, you get 12 months of free Boost across every mailbox in the hosting account, including mailboxes added during those 12 months and their authenticated connected accounts. All share the same gift expiry date. It is available once per account and cannot be combined with another offer. Refunding the qualifying payment removes the gift.
Gift Boost expires after the 12 months. It does not create a paid subscription or renew automatically. You’ll get a reminder 14 days and 3 days before expiry. Customers can explicitly purchase paid Boost for any mailbox they want to keep covered; any existing paid Boost remains independent.
