LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

QuadraNet – $5.81/month KVM in Los Angeles - Free goodies in the USA

Dustin, from QuadraNet, has sent in this cloud offer to LowEndBox which is available in three US locations. On top of that, they’re sending out free goodies to those living in the continental US!

QuadraNet InfraBlue

  • 1 dedicated vCPU core
  • 512MB RAM
  • 1024MB SWAP
  • 15GB SSD space
  • Dallas and Miami offer SAN storage, not SSD
  • 1TB traffic
  • 1Gbps uplink
  • 1x IPv4
  • IPv6
  • KVM/Custom
  • $5.81/month
  • Order here

With every order, you can request (either by opening a ticket or replying here with your invoice number and choice) either a free QuadraNet 8GB USB drive or a free QuadraNet mouse pad. This offer is only available to those living in the continental US; people from outside the US or those living in remote areas can pick a free $5 account credit! QuadraNet is a registered INC, which has been running since 2001. The virtual cloud servers are hosted on nodes equipped with AMD processors, ZFS RAIDZ SAN, and 48GB of RAM per blade – however, the whole setup is decentralized, thus if a node fails for any reason the containers are automatically launched on another node. On top of that, each node has dual power feeds and the network is redundant at the router level. They have been featured once on LowEndBox before, and the reviews have been very pleasing. Please do leave a review or a comment below if you have used them.

Something that sets QuadraNet apart is their Asian optimized IPv4 addresses, which can be ordered/set while deploying your cloud instance, and costs around $3/month only. These Asian optimized addresses are good for a lower latency, but that is not all apparently, Dustin previously stated that changes are done on the Asian optimized IPv4 blocks to “correct any routing irregularities, congestion and other negative effects that Chinese (and some other country’s) ISP’s frequently have.”

They accept payments using Credit Cards, and PayPal. Remember to read their Terms Of Service document and their Service Level Agreement document for more information prior to ordering.

  2. For the IPv6 option, do you guys do subnets, or individual IPs? Also, I notice it says “KVM/Custom” – do you have some sort of custom panel? If so, details and screenshots would be great.

The network is good. I have a VPS from tragicservers in LA, which seems to use quadranet. (Correct me if I am wrong)

    • Hi Jcaleb,

That is correct – we operate our own datacenters and we also specialize dedicated servers and colocation. Many of you already use our services in one way or another, either directly or indirectly! ;)

      Thanks for the interest!

  6. Hi
at the time of signup if ip address is spamlisted then will u give refund?

    • Hi Vijay,

We take spam very serious and we strive to operate a clean network. If for whatever reason your instance is deployed with a blacklisted IP (which is next to impossible), we will gladly rotate that IP to one that is clean, in addition with taking action to the blacklisted IP and requesting delisting.

Do you plan on getting more datacenters, like in New York, or Europe, or are you basically done at three?

    • Hi Numa,

Amsterdam, NL (Europe) is a location that we are working on expanding to :) I do not have a strong ETA on when services will be available publicly in that location yet.

Ok so i just signed up for this service, but i’m a bit confused on the quadranet control panel.

I went to my instances it says 0, so i went to create a new instance. Now i have 2 active service! Does that mean i have to pay $5.81 twice/month? Or is that normal?

Im confused. I destroyed the instance i created and now it still says i have 2 active service. What the hell?

    • Hi Cosmicgate,

I assume that you’re looking at the top right of our billing portal where it says “2 active services.” One is for the service that bills you for your initial account deposit, the second one is the service that is for your actual cloud instance. That is just the way the system works, if you go to the services breakdown in Manage, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. You are not being billed twice.

Cloud is billed hourly based on your usage. As a new client, your initial sign up is equivalent to your first month’s deposit with us to create your account.

You can view your instances by going to the left-hand side of Manage, and selecting “InfraCloud” > “List Instances”

  10. Badly routed. From my house in Plano (25 miles north of Dallas) on Verizon FiOS, traffic takes a trip up to Chicago and back to Dallas for a 58ms ping time. Considering my current VPS gives me a 6ms ping time, I doubt I’ll be switching any time soon.

I would suggest staying away from these guys. For the first two weeks I had been experiencing network connectivity issues which rendered my VPS unusable. Also, my VM is extremely unresponsive — I think their CPUs must be severely oversubscribed. As a result, when I try to scp files from my VM, I get less than 1MB/s! Just awful! And no, its not due to network congestion.
