Adam from Ostach.net emailed me a few days ago about their latest promotion on WHT. Use coupon code 50CENTSOFF to get 50 cents off each month from their special package — to $5.50/month with the following spec:
- 384MB guaranteed/1024MB burstable memory
- 10GB storage
- 5Mbps unmetered bandwidth
- OpenVZ/SolusVM
The servers are located in Kansas City. Exactly the same package as AngiHost as well (and AngiHost is 55 cents/month cheaper), so I assume that it is also in the Oak Tower. Who would be hosting these servers? I have no idea but my guess would be with Joe’s or Wholesale Internet? As the plans are exactly the same, these might be reseller accounts — but who are they reselling?
Ostach itself has only had its domain registered since February this year, with WHOIS protected registrant info (argh!) From the website they also seem to resell BurstNet’s in Scranton, and someone else’s in Orlando (probably DimeNOC).

Hey,
You’re correct:
Our Scranton packages are from BurstNET
Orlando VPSes are hosted within DimeNOC
I actually saw AngiHost’s offer a while ago, and I wanted to try match it — Unfortunately I can’t go $0.55 cheaper though.
Thanks for posting this!
Cheers,
Adam
Looks like Ostach has been acquired by Vixile.
