“Hostigger is the brand name of a company that has been providing data center services for 25 years.”

    But… but….

Domain is only 3 years old?.

      Hi

It is written that it is a brand of another company. Our only brand is not “hostigger”.

Sorry, typo… I meant to ask: can you offer BGP session in your Istanbul location?

When do you plan to have ipv6 working in your Istanbul location?

I usually don’t bother to comment on these, I personally have had a VPS from them for a year thats been fine so I figured why not pick up a Windows one that I’ve needed for a project and that’s when everything went so horribly wrong, so I purchased a $15 8gb “instant setup” vm, got the invoice like any other place, paid it it still said unpaid an hr later so against my better judgement I paid again knowing it would charge me twice and just figured I would get the credit for the other amount and immediately change the paid while after waiting another hour or so for the instant setup server to appear I opened a support ticket after some time they responded with server information I logged in proceeded to download chrome and it immediately went offline it has now been offline since I have multiple support tickets with the latest reply is literally “This is the maximum line you can use at this price.” I don’t even know what that means, if you’re not I am hours later still waiting for response still without a server. if I were you take your money somewhere else

      Hi,

The server you specified is the American location server and never had network problems. Your support request has been incorrectly answered. The answer to another support request is written to you. (For another support request, a customer said that the download speed of 250 mb is low.)

Our friend was warned. We apologize for this. If you contact me from Skype, I’d like to give you a $ 25 discount code.

      Regards

  8. Keith:

Hostigger is terrible. I have about 15 different low-end servers from various providers and decided to jump on this Black Friday deal. I got a server with 2GB RAM running Ubuntu 18.04. The server was built quickly and initially seemed great. I dropped a very simple site on it to do some testing.

Within 24 hours, nothing on the site would load, I couldn’t do package updates, and I couldn’t transfer files to/from the server. After rebooting, I was able to do updates and transfer files again. 24 hours later, same story.

The server had no traffic to it and maintained virtually zero load and, still, the networking stalls after 24 hours.

I filed a support ticket and was told that since a reboot fixed the issue, the resources provisioned to me were not sufficient and that I’d need a higher plan. After telling them that there was no traffic to/from the server, they suggested that I change my password because if I’m using a simple password, I could have been hacked. I set all my servers up to disallow password based login (pub/priv key only) and I can clearly see that I’m the only one who has ever logged in.

They are completely unwilling to help resolve this issue. I run identical setups on all my VPS boxes and have never had problems like this.

I recommend that you find a different VPS provider.

      Hi,

The problem you are experiencing has been found to be a bug related to ubuntu 18.04. Required updates are made.
      We apologize for any inconvenience.

Bought a “Plan 2” 1G RAM KVM from them 3 days ago.
    So far so good!

One thing I noted was that there is no SWAP partition alongside the storage you get.
Some alternatives give that, But ones I’ve had were more expensive than $15.

I will update here if anything came up.
