LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

CheapWindowsVPS - $7/month 1GB SSD KVM VPS, Windows included, in Chicago and Los Angeles

Cheap_Windows_VPS_Hosting,_Budget_Windows_VPS_-_2014-06-15_10.32.26Tony, from CheapWindowsVPS, sent in a discount offer for their cheapest Windows VPS. CheapWindowsVPS was founded earlier this year, somewhere in February. The domain is a lot older (first registered in 2007), so I assume Tony bought it to start offering these services. Host nodes use dual Intel Xeon E5-2620v2 CPUs, have 160GB  of RAM, and are packet with 8x 1 TB Solid State Drives in RAID50 backed up by an LSI RAID controller. Needless to say, that is quite the beast of a machine. You also get plenty of disk space with this VPS. I haven’t got much experience with Windows Server myself, but I think a good chunk of that disk space goes to Windows itself. However, with 40GB of disk space in total, there should be plenty of room for your own software and files as well. This offer is available in Los Angeles, California; and Chicago, Illinois, both in the USA. The IPv6 is unavailable at this time. If you decided to give CheapWindowsVPS a try, please let us know how it goes!

The offer

  • 1 vCPU core
  • 1GB RAM
  • 40GB SSD space
  • 1TB bandwidth
  • 1Gbps uplink
  • 1x IPv4 address
  • KVM/SolusVM
  • Windows Server 2008 or 2012
  • Coupon: HAPPY30
  • $7/month
  • Order here

CheapWindowsVPS accepts only PayPal for payments. They have a 72-hour no questions asked money back guarantee, so it’s pretty safe to try them out. Additional IPv4 addresses are available at $1/IPv4/month and are now discounted 30% by using the same coupon you can use for the VPS. Please take the time to read their Terms of Service, as you agree to them when you sign up!

Pretty sure that was the whole purpose behind the name CheapWindowsVPS. They offer Windows VPSes, not Linux VPSes.

      • I don’t know how to use bitcoin but I have 2 of my debit cards and a moneybookers account too since PayPal is not available in Pakistan. You should consider implement a payment gateway for accepting debit or credit cards.

        • Can you pay with credit card via Paypal? There is no need to have a Paypal account.

You can use paypal as gateway for your credit cards even if you don’t have account in paypal.

Transaction went smoothly but problems began to arise when I couldn’t initially connect to the server. I promptly contacted the support team. The first initial reply’s were quick but did not even solve the problem or address the issue being asked. Now support staff is refusing to respond to my tickets and keep putting my ticket “On Hold” after every response. Refusing to issue refund. Horrendous support and horrendous service being provided. Buyers be ware!

So far, not very good experience
    1) 2 July Crash 1 when subscribed
    2) 3 July Restart when it auto update patches and lost it’s IP address
    3) 7th July Crashed suddenly, support disable some firewall KIV

Any KPI to compensate for such frequent downtime?

    STAY AWAY.

    1. The server is not even in LA. it is located in Canada Eastcoast.

    2. they must re-enable the remote desktop for you after every server crash or server hang. This was my 3rd time!!
im fed up. every ticket usually takes more than 6 hours to enable goddamn remote desktop function.
last ticket answer was i should be using the remote desktop but still not working,

I’m going back to servarica at least their ticket answer is less than 30 minutes. they always have online chat as well.
and it’s 1.5GB RAM and offer 2 cores.

  17. Terrible. Completely terrible service.
20+ emails now trying to get the issues resolved.
1)45 minutes after purchase, i log into VM to try it out. Shows offline. Tried to boot it. Does not start.
    2)Email support.
3)Support told me i broke the VM and i need to reinstall it.
4)15+ emails trying to explain to support that i never even got a chance to log into the VM and it was corrupted from the beginning. Reinstall option is grey’d out.
5)Support responds(in broken english) that they rebuilt my VM and corrected my account.
6)I originally purchased 4 additional IPs. they are now missing from the control panel. Still cannot login to vm.
7)Support says they correct the issues and moved me to a new node. New IPs are created.
8)Still cannot log into my VM.
This is now going on for 2+ days.

Great servers! Been with them for a about half a year now and not a single problem. I purchased a server from LA and I live in Melbourne Australia. I get 180ms ping with excellent speeds.

Very happy with CheapWindowsVPS! Would recommend!

  19. RUN AWAY!!!

A real tragedy !, the worst service of VPS, have one week using it (or try), it stops working for no reason, says that uses 1.42TB of bandwidth in 4 hours, RDP and VNC dead, slow and unable to support, not burn your money here.

Works great for me so far. Speedtest results were 150Mbps up/down from their Buffalo site. Using their 2 GB VPS option (2 cpu, 2 GB ram, 80GB disk space, Windows 2012 server 64-bit) + 8 public IP’s for only $19/month after the 30% discount. Very fast response (less than 10 minutes) when I submitted a ticket after receiving only 5 of my 8 alloted IP addresses. No complaints!

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE.

4 days after purchasing the VPS I got an email notification that the 1TB bandwidth is already consumed even I’m not using it(Barely used it only for 3hrs for the initial setup).

    THIS IS A SCAM

I’ve tried one server with them and their service is useless.

They restarted my server anytime without any warning notice. Two times they’ve shut down my server, 2 times restarted.

The worst thing is their support. They just repeat stupid answers, it’s like talking with a machine.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Very bad experience, I am running away.

just to add running my algo with them has cost me $1100 due to their server being down! If they do not give me my algo back from their server then thats another $x,xxx loss.
Jus goes to show their professionalism, did not even think about the work i had on the server WHICH I PAID for and they just killed it

    Avoid these guys.

I’ve been using them for a few months. A while ago, the server stopped responding and I got notifications from monitus that the website went offline (its a placeholder).

RDP errors. Ping errors. Using their VNC console, it reports “hardware changed, Windows can’t launch”. When I restart windows it says “a hard drive is missing”.

A few days with no response to emails. I’ve obviously cancelled.
