LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Evolution Host Wants to Give You a FREE VPS! (Of Course There's Fine Print!)

Evolution ServerEvolution Host have returned to the scene of the crime to offer even more high-spec, DDoS protected, free VDS packages. This time they’re celebrating the release of our brand new service – Rust DDoS Protection. Rust server DDoS protection allows server owners to protect their Rust server from DDoS attacks remotely. As they put it, “Regardless of the size or sophistication of the attack, the Evolution Host Rust Anti-DDoS service can protect your server.”

The free high-spec VDS offer is open to everyone in the LEB community who has a popular website and/or a large social media following.  So if you’re just launching your blog, this isn’t for you, but if you have a site that’s a hit and want some free hosting to help you grow even further, read on.

Evolution Host recommends everyone who is interested apply as they may have an alternate offer available if you don’t meet the criteria required for the largest specification server. Please note that if you’re offered one of their lower tier packages, it likely means that your website was not eligible for any offer.  In such cases, they may request occasional honest review of your experience with the server.

There is no exact criteria to make you eligible for the offer but a good start would be a ranking of at least 25 on https://moz.com/free-seo-tools or a social following of 5k+.

The relevancy of the applicants site will also be taken into consideration. No pornographic content, warmongering content or anything that breaches their terms of service will be accepted.

What makes Evolution Host different?

“Evolution Host has garnered a reputation for striving to stand out from the norm in a crowded industry,” they write.  “Our product line is always evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. In a recent example, with the global surge in DDoS attacks throughout the pandemic, Evolution Host developed a method of bringing our advanced DDoS protection systems to clients remotely, with our Remote DDoS protection service. We had noticed that many people were quite happy with their OVH/other provider’s dedicated server and weren’t too keen to change hosting providers. However they were in need of a level of DDoS protection not provided by OVH/their current hosting provider. That’s when we stepped in to introduce our Remote Anti-DDoS service, allowing clients to stay with their current hosting provider while benefiting from our unbeatable DDoS protection remotely.  Also being one of the first VPS hosting providers to adopt the new NVMe SSD VPS standard, Evolution Host always tries to stay one step ahead.”

  1. Under their last free offer, I got 3 vps from them in exchange of link/banner on my sites.

Their service is good. Great uptime and performance.

I previously read comments that you still get invoices after a month and that asks you to take some actions to keep your service free. But that has not been in my case. Though for the 1st term invoices gt generated, after that I don’t get any invoice. Nor they ask me to take any repeated actions other than keeps up the links on my sites.

    Thanks Evolution Host!

      • As I have already applied for the offer, I am not applying again.

But is there any way to get a little storage added up to one vps? My usage is closely hitting the quota limit so having a little room will make it comfortable.

After 1 year and 4 months of using the VPS they provide me (Business plan), I have a couple of comments as follows:
        – Extremely good and fast support, even when I’m on the free plan.
        – Great uptime, only had 1 downtime, but they quickly moved me to another data center, then moved me back once the problem was fixed (with data intact).
        – Fast processing speed, fast and stable network.
        – There’s nothing to complain about.
        – I’ve saved over $600 over the last 16 months because they let me use this free service.

Just chiming in to say I got a VPS from the initial free offering and it has performed perfectly!! I would recommend Evolution Host to anyone looking for a solid provider. If I could offer one gripe, my VPS IP is on a level 2 and level 3 email spam block. I contacted EH about this and they offered to move me to a different region. A perfectly good fix for a quality product that is free to me. Bravo.

I’m so thrilled that some of you got connected with Evolution Host. Their offerings looked promising, but when I applied, their customer support was so bad it made talking to the cable company look GOOD! I had to ask the same question 4 times before getting an answer, and I’ve now got a pending question where I’ve followed up 14 (yes FOURTEEN!) times and can’t get anyone to respond. I’ve reached out to sales, marketing, and support and their company feels like a TOTAL SCAM. I provided over a dozen websites I mentioned I’d be willing to move over to their hosting (understanding that I’d need to provide an affiliate link) and as best as I can tell, this is just a club of so-called executives who make themselves feel better by rejecting small businesses from getting hosting that they need because they “aren’t important” enough. If anyone has a better way of getting in touch with them to get a deal squared away, I’m absolutely interested, but from my experience STAY AWAY! These clowns aren’t worth dealing with!

The webhosting solutions I had for my community website were struggling with handling the load. A fellow community member / sponsor did his best to improve the situation, but unfortunately it didn’t improve the situation enough. To little server specifications were the most likely the cause of the issues.

I was happy to have my sponsor pointing me to this giveaway campaign. I applied for it and then hoped for the best. A little bit disappointed that a few desireable options could not be realised within the sponsorship deal (systemwide backups, more RAM memory) but apart from that it was quite a nice deal.

I have never setup a VPS myself, although I have setup Raspbian and Debian a few times and configuring a VPS with a KVM-VNC does not differ to much. I found out configuring the server in a safe way is quite hard and difficult. So far the server seems to run stable and fine, but we haven’t put it to the real test yet as the DNS-records are not pointing to the Evolution Host server yet. I like the fact that I was possible to choose between several servers worldwide. This allowed me to choose a server within the European Union to comply with the upcoming GDPR update which requires you to keep European visitors data to stay on European servers.

The contact with Evolution host is sometimes difficult (slow first replies), but the content of the reply is mostly fine and clear.

No, that’s all fake. There is no “permanently”. On the first month, they only requested a link and didn’t mention any other requirements. But starting from the second month, they asked me to do spamming to keep my data. At first that’s “leave comments on five different sites”, and then more. I mean, they didn’t mention this on the application page.

    • Hey,

      Thank you for your feedback.

There’s certainly nothing “fake” about our offer! There is currently hundreds of LEB members benefitting from our free server offerings.

As mentioned in the main post, in cases where the website you’re applying with doesn’t quite meet the criteria we’re looking for to offer a sponsored VPS, we may still offer you a server with the caveat of requesting the occasional honest review of your experience with the server. The alternative would be to simply not offer a free server at all when the website doesn’t offer the desired SEO value.

We appreciate your feedback however your perception may be slightly skewed.

  8. They offered Business package for me, but change to Developer package because I chose Singapore location. Maybe this is fake deal, or it is not worth.

    • Hey,

      Thank you for the feedback.

Upon review, I’ve been able to track down your VPS application (as no other applicant matches the information you’ve provided). To clarify, you were never offered the Business VPS package.

If you check your inbox, you’ll see that you were offered the Production VPS package originally.

As explained, due to overhead costs of hosting in the Singapore region, we are unable to present the same offers in this region. You were given a choice of a smaller VPS (the Developer package) in the Singapore region, or the originally offered VPS (Production package) in any other location.

      Thank you for your understanding!

Wow! I’m surprised you actually got a written response from them on LEB! They couldn’t be bothered to even respond to my previous comment.
