LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

GalaxyHostPlus - $7/month 512MB/75GB/10TB OpenVZ in Paris, France

GalaxyHostPlus_-_Flexible_Hosting_Provider_-_2015-01-13_12.05.56Janusz, from GalaxyHostPlus, has written us to share this offer for a VPS in Paris, France. It includes a whopping 10TB of transfer and basic DDoS protection.

The offer

  • 512MB RAM
  • 1024MB Burst RAM
  • 0.5 CPU core
  • 75GB HDD space
  • 10TB transfer
  • 1Gbps uplink
  • 1x IPv4
  • OpenVZ/Virtualizor
  • $7/month
  • Order here

The initial offer I got sent was actually a lot better than the one I’m listing now. For some reason the bandwidth on that was made unlimited bringing it over our $7 pricing limit, which is a real shame if you ask me as it has double the RAM, double the disk space, and access to more cores than the current offer. Having said that, this offer may be more sensible. These VPS are hosted on a host node with an Intel Atom C2750 CPU with 8GB of RAM. I have no disk specifications, so beware that it might be a single disk host node. This offer is not with OVH, though, but with Iliad. GalaxyHostPlus is part of Galaxy Digital Networks which is based in Carlow, Ireland. If you have experience with GalaxyHostPlus, please share yours with us in the comments.

GalaxyHostPlus accepts only PayPal for payments. Refunds are not given except in exceptional circumstances. Upgrades are available for this server; please contact them for more information. Before you order, please read their Terms of Service.

I don’t suggest you advertise the DDoS protection as it takes a good 10 minutes to kick in for some attacks, and your whole server will be down while that happens.

    • I already test the DDoS Protection with PPS 200980 it only effect the IP won’t effect the server I tested it and only current IP was affected while others work on normal speed after 10 Minutes DDoS got Migrated by Sevi®

So I call this basic DDoS Protection.

  4. Interesting, but for 6€, you get 2GB ram, a 500GB HDD, 2 Cores / 4 Threads and unlimited bandwidth @ dedicated 100MBit at Kimsufi. Sure, the CPU will be worse and no raid, but excluding that.. Hm.

Also, you can’t take a host seriously when the owner needs to include his own testimonial on the site:
DJ EFFECT, DJ at http://januszczeropski.com – “I’m very happy with GalaxyHostPlus Web Hosting it always give me best performance on my website never got any downtime! I recommend it to anyone looking to host a small or big website!”

Are we being funny? 8GB of RAM node? Atom. Single drive.

I forget what year 8GB was acceptable for a node. Have to go back to 2010 or earlier though.

With 8GB of RAM they can sell 15 clients on 512MB of RAM.

Their costs are 14*2 EUR (extra IPs) + 16 EUR for the server itself.
      total = 44 EUR.

      Income from clients 15*7 USD = 105 USD = 90.28 EUR

i.e. a profit of 46.28 EUR per month per “node”.

That’s assuming anyone actually buys this crap at $7/mo; which is a pretty big assumption if you ask me.

Of course the performance for 15 clients sharing a single 2.5″ HDD will be absolutely dismal; same as reliability with not using any RAID.

      • One node holds around 6 Clients.

We have no better solution on the start.

Anyway soon we will bring high end node from location in Germany so nodes specs will be

        Core – i7 3930 (6+6 Core HT, Benchmark 12155)
        64 GB RAM DDR3
        2 Port Hardware RAID Controller
        2 x 4 TB HDD

    Do not buy.

    • This was only one node which holds 6 VPS which is already out of stuck.

And don’t comment don’t buy if you haven’t ever used the service.

We already got new node in Germany which should be up today in Germany.

We will fix the price so lets say around

      $3 for 512 Mb Ram

      and $5 for 1GB Ram

we will update latter with new prices after the right calculation of all.
