Do they allow for making snapshot or image backups of your running VPS server? Can they restore a backed up image to allow for fast recovery of client problems?

These comments HAVE to be paid as they are untrue.

They have nothing but problems and are unable to determine why they have issues, I unfortunately bought one of there services and it was down more than it was up. Tickets sent went basically unresolved, multiple tickets were needed to get clarification, current tickets are being ignored and unanswered with no communication since DEC 3rd. The one time I did get a response, they only offered a solution AFTER I asked for a refund.

You get what you pay for, sadly.

“down more than up” huh? they don’t respond to clueless or nub “sys admins”

Yes, down more than up and this type of response is totally unwarranted, I am not sure why you think I am a nub sysadm based on one negative review. While yes I am pissed they have not responded in a professional manor I was merely pointing out that you get what you pay for and for others to watch out when purchasing from them.

I also don’t see you responding to other negative reviews so I’m beginning to suspect this this is coming from HostedSimply directly.

Unless you have any factual evidence I am “nub sysadm” then I would ask that you move along.

I bought the SSD deal a few days ago, and I am confidently say that this is a solid company.

I assume because of the fact it’s powered by SSD’s, the servers respond quick to my command prompts – and in fact, faster than my own computer at home.

I’m glad to have found a great VPS provider I can sue for my projects.

Got a SSD Cached – 4GB VPS plan in NY. Logged in w/SSH and server just crawled. I could watch progress bars on updates barely move….while my other company VPS scrolls by so fast I can’t read which update finished. On the OS update (CentOS 7) there is a section of about 460 updates. It completes in under a minute on my good VPS; it was on step 3 on hostedsimply after a minute. Requsted cancellation within about 20 minutes of having access, still not cancelled after 20 hours. I was hoping for better.

Please read the comments from old offers always do this background check before jump in any hosting company around here I saw so many bad reviews and just think a little the first three or four comments are always about how good the plan or the company is so beware.

    They have the worst service.

After ordering a VPS from them, and finding it a bit slow, I ran benchmarks, and they suspended my VPS without notification.

I moved off all my sites that I tested on their VPS, and left it unused.

After trying to login to the VPS after some time, they again suspended the service.

No websites, no logins, no traffic to the VPS and they still suspended the service without notification.

Go with any other provider, except this one

      HA, thats great.

I remember when I was in the same boat with a different host, now they are my number one pick for projects that require lots of cpu/network/memory. (completely different service running on openvz they are cheap but not that cheap, have another company for kvm I trust as well, pretty much same boat but are constantly out of stock of VPS’s and luckly I am grandfathered in their unlimited traffic)

Anyways the story goes, I upgraded to I want to say a yearly package and when my main website got taken down (lost all data from a host crash, they stopped trading while redesigning everything) I stopped using it for awhile, literally nothing running on it not even default apache.

Got an email saying I was abusing network connections from them out of the blue and they suspended my VPS. I obviously asked for proof and explained it is pretty much a skeleton and not running anything.

Showed me a log with litteraly my server and 8.8.8.8 just pinging back and forth, not rapidly but every so often but it was the only traffic.

I told them I do not see any abuse in the photo and to look at the ip address and port
      my ip to 8.8.8.8:53
      8.8.8.8 to my ip
      repeated

The closed the ticket without anymore word and never ran into issues since.

Also let it sit for a few more months before I needed a vps and decided to try it out and fell in love

  14. Customer Service FTW:

To be fair, I got a full refund and email explanation (hardware issue) from Peter, without even asking for it. He was willing to work with me on trying TO get a new plan, but doesn’t have the plan/datacenter combo I want.

While my initial experience wasn’t good, customer service from Peter S. definitely was.

I have open ticket ongoing. NY location seems to have serious performance issues. Currently they are proposing moving to LA location will keep you updated if performance better.
Not very happy at the moment.

Yeah, it seems their Los Angeles SSD cached node crashed.

It was a bit slow to respond sometimes, but now it is offline all together.
