    Hello,
what is the kernel version used in this pool?
and the kernel in your SSD VPS 1GB VPS Special?

The asia optimized network: as only chinese networks are mentioned, how do other asian countries benefit – or is it chinese optimized?
    regards

    • Hi Marco! We use the latest stable versions of the OpenVZ6 kernels. Our Asia Optimized network is specifically beneficial for users from China and Taiwan.

And can I deploy some VPS in UK and then other ones in another location like LA?

So the only location left is Los Angeles.

If I buy 2 packages like in this example: I have purchased the 1.5GB VPS Pool plus 2GB VPS Pool so I will see just one POOL with 1.5GB+2GB = 3.5GB or I will see separate ones to manage ?

            thanks

          • To follow up on the concern here, UK is now available again. We’ve set up brand new, modern E3-1240v6 based nodes!

Thanks for the huge amount of interest so far and apologies for the delay on UK!

@Kiko – you will be able to determine how you wish to allocate your resources within your pool however you like. Whether you want to use it all on one VPS, or spread the resources among multiple, it is entirely up to you.

Is it possible to add storage space to a 4gb vps pool? What would the price be like?

    September 28, 2018 @ 5:40 pm | Reply
    • That is possible… but it might just make more sense to upgrade to the 8GB VPS Pool plan at that point. Only $29/yr rmore and you get a lot more storage and other resources.

You can always upgrade your VPS pool plan at a later point if desired.

  9. Gerrit:

Ok, here’s my review up till now.

    – Ordered the service and payment was succesful.
    – The VPS Pool was instantly created and available.
    – First VPS i tried to create was at United Kingdom (UK), which did not seem to have any resources left;
“Auto select error (No free nodes found in group UK OVZ)”
    – Gave it a retry but this time at Chicago, unfortunatly the same error occured for that location;
“Auto select error (No free nodes found in group OVZ-CH)”

Okay, in that case it’s worth creating a ticket, as they mention here on LEB as well on their “About Us” page, they reply within 18 minutes and come with a resolution within 45 minutes. With at least 3 admins online it might be amazing faster.

Unfortunatly… nobody has replied on the ticket I sent to their technical support. That ticket is open now since >5 hours. Two hours later I sent a ticket to “Sales/Billing” as well.

None of the tickets have been answered.

In the meanwhile I searched the internet about this issues as well. Only “BIlly-George” here on LEB experienced the same issue with the lack of resources at the UK host. The activity of HostMyBytes at Twitter has stopped since 2016 and they aren’t even available on Facebook.

    Thus, final conclusion about HostMyBytes;
    – They dont respond to tickets within the mentioned 18 minutes / not even 60 minutes.
    – They dont come with a resolution within 45 minutes.
    – They dont offer the three mentioned locations, they only offer the Los Angeles location.
    – They dont answer sales/billing tickets within Business hours which they mention at the “Open Ticket” page.

With that beïng said; I dont expect anything anymore from HMB so i claimed a full refund.

Any update about it ? Lately I have see so many VPS Pools providers and a few time after a lot of complains. I hope you have solved and happy to comment about this company. But you research may be a red flag.

      September 29, 2018 @ 12:38 pm | Reply
      • Gerrit:

        @Kiko – I do have an update and it aint positive at all;

I have opened a dispute/escalation with PayPal to force a refund. Because after hours of waiting I totally lost the trust in receiving a reply on the ticket. In fact, they did not reply but closed it instantly.

After I re-opened that ticket and told them how unprofessional that looked like, someone replied (after quite some hours) with their apologies and ask to have more patience. The ticket has been assigned to another department which still hasn’t replied.

        The questions and/or complaints I made were;
        – Why am I unable to create a container on the Chicago nodes nor the UK nodes.
        – Why aren’t you replying tickets within the mentioned times on your website as well websites they advertise on (like LowEndBox (LEB)).

Still none of these questions have been asnwered, they haven’t done anything in the meanwhile.

So in fact I may conclude the advertisement and promisses like the 24/7 support where they reply within a certain time are just a way to mislead customers.

I have never seen a hosting/VPS company acting like this in the 17 years i’m active with Dedicated Servers, Virtual Private Servers, Cloud Instances etc. I do know and understand the offers are very cheap, but I still expect businesses to act the way they advertise themself. HostMyBytes will not host “MY” bytes at all cause of the way they run their business.

UPDATE: PayPal escalation ended. Refund processed.
Ordered a single VPS at the UK which was up and running within a few seconds.

          10ms ping, quite fast.
Support still did not answer the ticket with the questions I asked.

            Okay, last update about HostMyBytes.

            Still nothing solved or received about anything;

1a) They close tickets without prior notice and without answering them.
1b) They dont answer tickets within the mentioned 18 minutes (mentioned on LEB as well HMB).
1c) They dont come up with a resolution within 45-60 minutes (mentioned on LEB as well HMB).

            2) Low-end-Box mention a 30-day refund on new customers, the HostMyBytes Terms of Service say otherwise and mention a 3 day (72 hours). Misinformation from both (LEB and HMB).

            3) The HostMyBytes Knowledgebase mention; “Go to your VPS, then go to the Network tab, and you can choose the rDNS for your IP addresses. “. This doesnt work and customers should request a reverse DNS (rDNS) via support tickets. Misinformation again.

            4) The owner replied once and kept silence eversince and said (i quote) ” rDNS requests are handled by support ticket and can take up to 48 hours to globally propagate.”. However… the rDNS request was made on October 1st while it’s October 9th now…. That’s even 192 hours!

According to above a nice link to those who are curious about misleading; https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/sites/default/files/games/off-site/youarehere/pages/pdf/FTC-Ad-Marketing_Whole-Truth.pdf

I do understand something can go wrong, but in this case about everything went wrong and the story still continues as the request for a refund is taking more than 1 hour (60 minutes) as well.

Thanks for you honest review I am still in doubt if I want to join this company or not. Maybe like Jonathan have said about the high demand and have a delay to process and delivery everything I will wait a little more.

          October 2, 2018 @ 3:03 pm | Reply
    • We are (well) aware of the issue on all points, and as explained above we filled inventory much quicker than we expected the first day of being posted here on LEB. Not only did this result in increased support work load, but we onboarded hundreds of new customers, and we admit we could of been better prepared for it – but we never seen this much interest from LEB in our previous experiences. As such, we ran out of room on our nodes in some locations like the UK.

Thanks for your understanding and for everyone’s patience! We are installing new nodes in every location, and the no free nodes error won’t be there any more by tomorrow/Monday.

        Hi,
        Very disappointing!
TUN/TAP just present in web console but not working at all. You can check it in your VPN by command “modprobe tun”. I write about that problem to Support but they totally insane. VPN disconnecting from internet several times per day. You can check it by https://uptimerobot.com

        October 3, 2018 @ 4:50 am | Reply
        • Hi, please contact our support team about this. With OpenVZ VPS’s, you aren’t able to modprobe as that is done from the host node side.

To verify TUN/TAP is enabled, run the following command in SSH:

          # cat /dev/net/tun
cat: /dev/net/tun: File descriptor in bad state

The above output should be returned for a VPS having TUN/TAP enabled state. If you get any out put other than the above(Eg: cat: /dev/ppp: No such device or address, Permission denied etc) means TUN/TAP is not enabled or has problem with TUN/TAP kernal module and in which case you should contact our support team for further assistance.

    • This is in the pipeline and is under testing! We previously experienced stability issues with OpenVZ 7 nodes in the past – so we’re sticking with our OpenVZ 6 nodes for the foreseeable future.

We do offer KVM VPS offers for those who *absolutely* require their own kernel build. Most clients seem to do just fine with the kernels we deliver on these though.

You forgot to mention you still stick with the worse ticket response times which will havent changed and wont change and your company promisses things like a 18 minute reply and 45-06 minute resolution which havent happend in the past 7 days and wont ever change at all!

So for potential customers; avoid this company as you will never get a way of support as you deserve (only when the problem is very easy to solve (like an IPv6 request). But in any other mather you can drop d**d and keep your mouth shut.

    Hi,

I read acceptance uses policy, and I have a question about CPU usage for VPS pools.
Can I max out all CPU cores that assigned to my pool for a long period? Like 30 minutes …?

    IRC Allowed?

    What about the DDoS Protection?

I will buy one if you offer DDoS Protection as I will be linking it to my IRC network.

    Thanks

Hi Kiko, you asked about my HostMyBytes experience… The plan I previously purchased on a special is great. Fast and stable on OpenVZ 6 but that means the kernel is older so I have issues running some things on Ubuntu 16 and cannot upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04

Small issue for the cost. TUN/TAP is available from the console.

support is not great. They will get back to you within a day usually but it’s often a cryptic answer or remains unsolved the first time in my experience.

      I totally agree on this.
      – They dont answer more than a single question.
      – They will get back to you when you request a rDNS set, but even after 24 hours it’s not set-up.

True, they are cheap (just like quite some others). Their support is (still) horrible.

For those who dont require technical support HMB might be a good solution but as far as I know there are some others hosters that offer a better support for about the same price.

Btw. I took a single VPS after the VPS Pool i ordered didn’t contain the UK and Chicago locations (as there wasn’t enough of resources) but after some calculations I get even more resources for 3 single VPS’s for the same price of their VPS Pool. Just search their products (hint ***chinese offers***) if you’d like to have Los Angeles and UK instances ;-)

Single VPS is running as it shoold.
There’s only no support at all, waiting for the rDNS beïng set-up for 3 days now.

UK VPS’s dont have a IPv6 address – guess it should be requested however I added it with a tunnel.

I took the United Kingdom (UK) location which has acceptable performance.

Guess it’s kinda the same as what I have with setting up a IPv6 tunnel.
I followed the steps mentioned at https://web.archive.org/web/20180818041658/https://www.cybermilitia.net/2013/07/22/ipv6-tunnel-on-openvz/

After that I’m able to create tunnels etc.

        October 4, 2018 @ 4:44 pm | Reply
      • Hi, I answered this in an above comment. You aren’t able to “modprobe tun” from within an OpenVZ container, that is not how OpenVZ works. Instead, it’s done from the host node side, and we have automated this process within our control panel for you to enable it for your VM(s).

        # cat /dev/net/tun
cat: /dev/net/tun: File descriptor in bad state

The above output should be returned for a VPS having TUN/TAP enabled state. If you get any output other than the above then that means TUN/TAP is not enabled or has problem with TUN/TAP kernal module and in which case you can contact our support department for further assistance on.

Currently having a lot of issues with this 12 VPS pool package I purchased. Extremely slow and appears to not be in Los Angeles as I had specified. It’s using Wyoming Servers to test speed for some reason. Meanwhile my other HMB VPS is using LA servers for speedtest and operating very fast still.

Having spent a few days trying to get this all working it might be time to just give up and get a refund on this one.

Still very happy with the other one.

    • Hi Alfamail, I can confirm we do not have any datacenter in Wyoming, it’s possible whatever GEOIP site you’re using has outdated databases, and if that’s the case, there’s only so much that we can do till they update it, but that doesn’t affect the usability of your server at all. You can run a traceroute to confirm your server was indeed located in the location you deployed it in.

@Alfamail – Those speeds are unacceptable.

      What happend in the meanwhile?
I still didn’t hear anything from Jonathan or any other employee of HostMyBytes.

About those speeds 50mbps or 50MBps? The last one could be quite acceptable but even then, it’s still not as much as they advertised. Same as with the advertising they do with their so-called 24/7 support within certain amounts of time which they never reach.

If you do cancel the service, I’d recommend to avoid the support-tickets, end the service in the controlpanel and file a complaint/dispute/escalation at the payment provider you/they used.

@Anthony – I’m not sure if they offer IPv6 on the UK host. But the first thing I did was requesting an IPv6 tunnel at Tunnelbroker.net (Hurricane Electric) which has 2 POP’s in London.

I set-up IPv6 myself with a tunnel and it works like a charm. The ping response time is about the same as the IPv4 (avg. 10ms) in my case from The Netherlands. For more information about creating a IPv6 tunnel https://web.archive.org/web/20180818041658/https://www.cybermilitia.net/2013/07/22/ipv6-tunnel-on-openvz/. Dont forget to enable the TUN/TAP device, even while it might be bugged somehow, it’s still required.

I’m using this way on HostMyBytes, AlphaRacks and have used it at Woothosting.

@kiko My first impressions were very negative, since I couldn’t seem to get what I was expecting with this resource pool offer. However, after reading in one of @Gerrit’s comments that there’s an even cheaper offer (a Chinese offer), I took a chance on that. For $11/year, I scored a VPS in Los Angeles with 2GB RAM. Seems like getting 2 of those would be almost as good as the $30 option on this resource pool option (though the max download speed on the Chinese offer is 100 Mbps vs 1000 on the resource pool, but that doesn’t matter to me for my usage at this time).

Anyway, after an unusual delay in getting my Chinese offer set up that required me opening a ticket (hours vs the minutes it took to get a resource pool set up for me), I did finally get up and going, and so far, I’m satisfied. $11/year seems hard to beat. Now I’m just waiting for my cancelation on the resource pool to go through, since 2 or 3 of these should work out better for me instead.

@Gerrit I’m glad I found your comment elsewhere mentioning the Chinese offer. Speaking of IPv6, I did get that up and running just fine on the Chinese offer. At first, I could swear I didn’t have any IPv6 addresses given (or maybe I didn’t check hard enough), but after asking in another ticket, I did receive my addresses.

        October 5, 2018 @ 4:12 pm | Reply
        • Gerrit:

@Anthony – The reason why I didn’t request any IPv6 addresses was because I’m still awaiting for the rDNS beïng set-up as well the replies on the earlier ticket I sent. I haven’t heared from them eversince.

So to avoid any delays like with IPv4 rDNS i created my own IPv6 tunnel. This even results into no random IPv6 addresses and no blacklists etc. which might be caused by other customers ;-)

Hi Jonathan, I am thinking about ordering a single VPS in London. Is it possible to run several domains with low traffic on that? If so, do I name the server on the order form as, e.g. “server1”, instead of “server1.mydomain.ext”?

    October 9, 2018 @ 3:08 am | Reply
    • Gerrit:

@Leo I recommend to first read around the messages here. I have been waiting for 8 days to get a reverse record set-up else my mails we’re getting bounced by gmail, hotmail etc. those “BIG” mail-servers require a proper set-up mailserver with a Reverse-DNS which they dont seem to offer within an acceptable period of time.

The same is for nameservers, according to RFC-Rules the ip-address of the nameserver should have a reverse dns set-up which “again” HostMyBytes doesnt seem to care and be able to offer that within an acceptable period of time.

So if your wondering why some e-mails do and some dont get trashed or put into spam-folders… there’s your reason!

      • Leo:

@Gerrit – fair point about the reverse dns. I did actually read your messages above and that is what attracted me to the single VPS option in London. At that price, I can use it just to learn, at least initially. Well, maybe the second plan up, with an extra processor. However, I need to know if I can run several domains. I will wait a bit till the technical issues settle down a bit, hopefully.

        • Alex:

@Leo – in general, I think, VPS allow many domain names for the same IP. If you use NGINX web server engine (which is faster than Apache) then see it’s docs/example on configuration file to see how it’s done.
And I think that the order form mentions the domain name just for convenience; it’s your DNS [registrar] records define where your domains point to (to which IP), and it’s your web server’s setup defines which domains your server [at that IP] serves.
What VPS provider do is just give you IP and Linux system to install there your web server software etc.

          • Leo:

Alex, thank you for your kind explanation. I should study the web server setup in more details. Yes, I will probably go for NGINX.

        • Alex:

PS. If you have many web sites on the VPS, and give them to other people to manage, then Apache has some advantages: it supports additional config files in subfolders. (Scanning all subfolders is one of the reasons why Apache is slower). So managers could tune their sites on their own (to a degree). That’s why on shared hosting they typically use Apache. (Of lighthttpd – “light Apache” – I don’t know nothing really).
Also, if you plan to give some web sites to people, and the VPS has enough RAM etc, consider installing VPS management panel (Virtualmin or some other). But if you don’t create accounts, and you manage all sites by yourself, then Webmin is quite enough. (It’s a basic web panel, helping to administrate Linux VPS). The only meaningful thing that Webmin lacks is that you would need to install NGINX manually, through SSH terminal.

I guess it’s caused by the whois data that belongs to the subnet. The IPv4 addresses are owned by FranTech Solutions located in Cheyenne WY/US also known as AS53667.

When I start a traceroute towards my UK IPv4 address, it gives me about 10ms while the average reply time for US servers are about 85ms (when it’s hosted in New York) or 150ms in case of Los Angeles. This while I live in The Netherlands.

I have seen this matter at several companies, unfortunatly it has something to do with the whois details as well the information companies provided. Unfortunatly there isn’t allot to do about it :-(

What good is account credit to me, if I want to leave your service entirely because 1) you couldn’t provide what you were advertising on here, and 2) I have to worry about the site and/or my server randomly becoming inaccessible for hours at a time? I want my $30 back in some form that is NOT account credit.

I have a credit card on file, because I was willing to buy one of their Chinese offer VPSes that was only $11 a year. But that was before the reliability issue took place. Not long after I set up my node, I woke up one morning to realize my node had been knocked offline, and for at least a few hours, the entire website would give me access errors on pretty much every other click. That’s the kind of nonsense I’d have to put up with by staying here?

So, I asked the billing department if they could just use my credit card on file for that service to refund me for the resource pool service. But of course, they claim they can’t do that. Do I have any other options here, or am I out the $30 entirely? At this rate, I might not even bother trying to get a refund for the Chinese offer server too. $11 was a little easier to stomach, and I could probably find an alternate use for the server. Although…if their refund period is indeed supposed to be 30 days, I might try to take them up on that, and then dispute the charge with my credit provider if they don’t cooperate.

BUYER BEWARE. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I’d have no problem paying a service like Vultr or DigitalOcean $5-$10 a month, because I know they’re quality services, at least in my experience so far. But as for HMB, no way. 1/5–will never buy again.

It’s been like 4 days that I’ve been trying to explain to HMB support and ask them about where I could choose the UK location! And the best part, no response yet!
Grieved and forced, I am taking to this platform.

Where is the option to choose UK location?

Also, if possible show me the speedtest results from a UK VPS of yours.

It’s written right in your screen. “Create VPS in LA, Chicago or UK”
You will get resources(2GB ram,3cpu cores…) and then you decide the location and configuration of your VPSes(maximum of 3 servers in this case but you could make just 1 if you want)

Server seems to be fine but shell is indeed laggy and server gets irresponsive at times as Takr mentioned. I hope they fix that soon.

I ordered them server in UK. Dali in the US with a large ping 100. Support questions are not answered. I canceled the order, deleted the server, I ask them to return the money back, they are silent on the ticket # 520944. Complete disregard. I understand that I probably will not see the money, I am writing for those who want to order from them, think. I do not advise you to have affairs with such a company!
PS Sorry for the clumsiness – I am writing through a translator.

    • My experience was kind of similar, except it all worked out. I also was interested in a UK server to work from Russia.

First VPS I got did not have network interfaces, reimaging did not help and it stopped working at all very quickly. Sent a support ticket, was transferred to another node within 12 hours, everything OK after that, good performance, ping is 50 ms.

Next day, SSH feels very sluggish, so I traceroute and see that ping is now 160 ms, and I have packet loss. Traceroute looks as if packets are routed to the US and then back to UK before reaching the VPS. So, a routing problem. Another ticket, and after 12 hours everything goes back to normal, but I think it just corrected itself.

So, eventually, I got a VPS in UK with 1 cpu core @ 3600 MHz, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB HDD, no problem with TAP/TUN all for $7 a year, which is really good for my needs. But as of now their UK site is really work-in-progress, so no way it can be used for production.

Customer support is really good, it takes three messages to sort everyting out: first response is withing 1 hour basically saying to elaborate the problem, and then real help is coming within 12 hours.

I placed an order for US server. Waited an hour but the new service still showed pending.

Raised ticket and support guy replied “…will be activated very soon”. I waited and waited, 5.5 hours later, I asked again whether they can assign someone to activate my service, the support guy simply copied/pasted the same response he threw to me hours ago.

I, as a paying customer, felt someone on the other end of the cable laughing at me as a stupid trusting moron.

Sorry for the language, but yes, I am upset.

I ordered US server but got a UK one.
I raised ticket and requested fix but support said your server is running successfully in UK.
I said I ordered US server then support said sorry US server has issues and no timeframe for a fix.
I said OK I will just do my stuff until you can move me back to US, but the UK server is not accessible.
Then I never heard anything back from support.

Yes, oh yes, I am pissed.

After 7 days, of waiting for support to fix a server that went offline, and will not repond to Shutdown, Re-boot, Boot, Re-install they simply closed the ticket after 4 days of no response.

I was initially happy with my servers too, the SSH is laggy as hell but the servers was not to bad getting around 1GBP/s IO Speeds and 100MBP/s Upload / Download…
Now getting around 2MBP/s IO speeds and 10MBits P/s upload speeds (UK Servers) Advertised on a shared 1GBP/s port I think this is not the best, I’ve not even brought these issues up with support as i’m still trying to get my servers online I Have a UK Server completely dead and two in LA.

Ticket No. #899814 – If anyone on here that works for HMB can take a look into my dead servers I’d be gratefull as it seems I’m being ignored by support or they are hoping it fixes itself.

I’m hoping these are genuinely issues they can fix, and I can carry on making use of my servers as I paid in Crypto, and I can see others reviews on this.

    UK-1 Server, IP – 144.172.120.7 & 144.172.120.231
This server has 0 response, Nothing on Solus or your Pool Panel tried to Shutdown, Start, Reboot and Re-install nothing.

    LA-1, IP – 104.194.159.180
I can SSH to this server, but my password does not work it also looks like my IP has been given to a different container as Shutdown, Reboot, Re-install commands don’t effect it the SSH stays alive.

    LA-2, IP – 104.194.159.82
Same issue as UK-1 no reponse absolutely nothing.

    1) The original blog post mentions a “30-day refund guarantee”. Their Terms of Service page says: “3 days (72 hours)”. Also “Special promotions packages are not guaranteed to be eligible for refunds”.

Did this change somewhere along the line?

    2) The website gave frequent errors: “500 Internal Server Error”, and/or “504 Gateway Timeout error”. The timeout period before getting the “500 Internal Server Error” was 2 minutes. It made the website pretty unusable.

    3) To submit a ticket, I was asked to fill in a CAPTCHA, even though I was logged in. I filled in one of these when I originally signed up/ordered – it was one of those “storefront image” type one’s.

      According to a reply which I got on a support ticket;

“Per our TOS which you agreed to prior to signing up for our services, we do not offer a refund policy for special promotional packages.” This has been sent by Aaron to me when i canceled the services.

The blog post also mention “An interesting note, their support statistics is shown in their about page. Based from the data, it seems their support is pretty good”, according to the experience of many people in the past year (take a look here at LEB and use Google Search as well) their support is something to cry about. They often dont answer within 18 minutes nor do they come with a resolution for the problems within the mentioned 45-60 minutes.

The website often has a error 500, this isn’t something new and exists for months already.

I have never had to fill in a captcha code when i was logged in however, it might be there since a few days or weeks (- maybe to make it more annoying for people who are complaining -).

Well, finally I cancelled my subscription after a week.
Initially I thought it was a good offer. Setting up the servers was a bit hard, because their vps management interface threw 504 errors quite frequently, but after that the servers was stable, at least they haven’t rebooted or went offline for me. SSH was lagging as I mentioned several times, but at first I assumed this was because of the unexpected increase of their orders and hoped they want and will be able to solve it in a few days.

I think I was very patient, while experienced the same treatment as others in this thread – closing tickets without notice and uncomprehending support. After I would have had to explain the issues for the 3rd time I decided to cancel. I also suspect that their alleged “live support stats” are not real, and I considered this as an unfair business practice. In overall I was not convinced that they will be able to provide reliable service for one year so I rather cancelled it.

I bought 3 services and paid in full for one year PLUS bandwidth Addons. The servers were not fast, but given the price is low so I accepted what I got.

HOWEVER, several weeks later, they suspended all my services with no explanation AT ALL!

I raised ticket asking for reason. The ticket got ignore for days and someone just jumped up and said ‘abuse’.

I replied asking for specifics, since my RAM usage is very LOW, my bandwidth usage has NOT reach the quota cap, my CPU fluctuates. And I said in the ticket that if it’s the CPU causing concerns, I can pay for additional CPUs to pull the usage down to an acceptable level.

I then NEVER heard back from them.

They took my money for THREE servers and Addons! HOW STUPID I was for trusting them in the first place.

I hope you guys can learn lessons from me. If necessary, I can provide screenshots of the ticket details for your amusement.

I have purchased a pool with 8BG memory, for creating 10 VPSes, on last June. On the marketing material, it was promised, that VPS servers can be created in UK, USA or in China. When I tried to create the first server, it was not possible to create servers in UK and support told me, that “sorry, not possible”. Since that, I have suffered from very slow control panel operation and dropping connections in server instances.

Creating a new VPS instance takes anything between 30 minutes to half day.

I recommend to avoid this company.

well, I don’t know what hardware they have running those containers, but it sure was slow and overloaded. and instead of using more reasonable performance hardware or upgrades, they will show you that their servers overloaded with simple tasks with average load of 15 then would just automatically suspend your service indefinitely without ever responding. and slap on your account that you have “abused” their services…

no warning, no nothing, and they will just take your money, make something up, and disappear.

I asked them again to refund my money and got no reply.

    Greetings,

I will say that communication with this firm is horrible. I could not even get Pre-Sales Questions answered.

Ticket 1 – Jan 9 2019: Sales 232914 Presales Questions – asking about custom ISO and refund policy on ‘sale items’ as the ToS and advert give different information – no reply I reply next day expressing I would like to buy their services and to please reply, Jan 11 – get first reply from sales stating 30 day refund for new users. I reply 1.5 hours later specifying I am asking about the return policy for sale items, no reply – ticket closed unanswered

Ticket 2: Jan 10 2018: Support 273881- I apologize for asking presales questions of support because sales is unresponsive, Support responds which is a plus, at least someone is watching that mailbox, sadly my ticket is forwarded to sales and falls into the same blackhole.

Ticket 3 – Jan 10 2019: Billing 661191 – I mention my other tickets going unanswered and I ask billing if they reply to tickets as sales was not at the time I entered this ticket. No reply ticket closed after 5 days

OK so I should have taken the hint that this company did not really want my business ( Support did, but no other departments replied to my tickets in a manner that answered my questions.

So what do I do, I go buy a gift card as I was going to buy an year long plan anyways. I order a package from them, but I forgot to disable my VPN ( which I always use ) so I got caught up in a new order fraud check. I don’t know if its the VPN or the gift card, doesn’t matter.

Ticket 4 – Jan 13 2019: Billing 590177 New Order Fraud check. in this ticket I inform them that my order was held up with the message ‘Fraud Check – Manual Review Required’ and ask them what we can do to proceed with the order.

2 days go by and the ticket gets closed with no reply.

I gave this company every opportunity to take my hard earned money even if I thought the company was going to be problems as I wanted to see for myself.

There, long winded, but I wanted to provide this community with what my personal experience was.

FYI: I am with SpakVPS on the reseller 16 VPS resource pool and it has been satisfactory and at least they reply to tickets.

Bottom line, I don’t know if the service provided is worth the cost, but the lack of communication makes it a deal breaker, and even then they would not take my money. My suggestion, move along and look for a provider that responds to tickets, and not just support tickets.

Good luck people, Have a great day,
    -Thrifty Scott

PS: I hope LeB doesn’t filter this post. I can provide full ticket dialogs upon request if you do not trust the veracity of my statements in this post.
