  1. Might be nice to offer a west coast option…

    • We are working on that indeed. Netherlands location will be added as well.

I recommend the west coast location as well. Plan on purchasing services and hoping to have the option to transfer services when available.

  3. I wish I could recommend these guys, but based on the flat out incompetent support, can’t say as I can.
Ordered a server 12 hours ago

First thing I noticed? Solus login not working. Great, it happens

    Opened a ticket

Waited 5 hours for support who gave the stupidest response ever:
    “Are you using username/password”
SERIOUSLY… I had to wait 5 HOURS for someone to basically parrot back to me what I KNEW I should be using? Come on now. This from a “general manager”

This has to be the slowest one man operation I’ve ever seen in my life. Didn’t bother fixing the problem, didn’t bother verifying anything, simply just parroted back “Oh, you should be using this”.

    February 15, 2018 @ 2:13 pm | Reply
    • Tom, there’s been numerous replies on your ticket from different people. “One man show” doesn’t fly here. It has all been resolved for you. Your request was in the night, which caused a delayed support reply. I feel you have a wrong understanding of the quality we offer. I hope you will soon try it again. Have a great day!

      February 16, 2018 @ 10:44 am | Reply
      • “It has all been resolved for you”
Yeah, you “fixed” the problem, 30 hours later, AFTER your ridiculous “are you using x/y” reply (rather than testing x and y yourself)

“Your request was in the night”
So? The internet doesn’t shut down at night. There’s no excuse for delaying someone’s request “at night”.

“I feel you have a wrong understanding of the quality we offer”
No, I have a perfect understanding of it:

Poor support (as in, can’t actually be bothered to verify that the problem exists the first time).
SLOW support (as in, 2 tickets took well over 5 hours to get an initial support response)
RIDICULOUS support (as in, we’re going to “uncancel” your cancellation request, make you jump through the hoops again)
PATHETIC administration (as in “we’re just going to not verify that things are setup properly”)

The issue is not with my understanding of your services, or your company. It’s pathetic, slow, ridiculous, and hires a “general manager” that could care less about solving problems, just wanting to ‘punt’ the ticket to the next person.

You really need to get qualified support in there before pulling an ad at a place like this

        February 16, 2018 @ 4:17 pm | Reply
    • Just a quick update here:

Cancellation ticket submitted within hours of receiving no help (Feb 15th), service cancelled inside of WHMCS and refund requirement placed
Staff deliberately removed the cancellation request
Second cancellation request submitted (per requirements by staff) on Feb 16th
      Still no refund

So, these guys don’t even live up to their own TOS (nor apparently do they spell check them)
      ———————
We offer a 7 day money back guarante, no question asked. Just fill out a ticket to the billing department and wait for a approval to get a refund.
      ———————

This is a complete joke of a company.
      — No support during realistic hours
      — They refuse to honor their refund policy
      — They can’t even do basic ticket troubleshooting, simply ‘punt’ the ticket back to their client
      — They force you to go through hoop after hoop, even though you’ve gone through those hoops to cancel and obtain a refund.

This is the exact kind of company you want to stay as far away from as possible.

      • I feel very sorry that you feel this way. Considering your past with other providers you seem to have the same “problems” over and over again. We gave you the correct logins in reasonable time (considering you made a ticket sunday night). You somehow claim that we should reply within 10 minutes on sunday nights. That is realistic if you have an SLA with us, but you did not.

Again, we’re very sorry that you feel this way but in our honest opinion you have been very rude to our staff (and we seen you have had the same way of talking to 5 other providers). You start to call us “Pathetic, poor, slow, ridiculous” and what not. That’s a fairly agressive way to ask for help for support.

Anyhow, your refund is being processed as said earlier.

We hope you can find the right provider that fits your (very demanding and strict) needs within the 1-7$/month budget. We even offered you a month for free as compensation on our part as we feel very sorry that you have such a misconception of our services and quality we offer. You denied it.

        • Tom Whiting:

The only time I have “problems” with a provider is when the provider is absolutely, ridiculously incompetent, as you are.

“We gave you the correct logins in reasonable time”
No, actually, you did NOT. You didn’t even bother to look at the issue, just punted the ticket on down the line. HAD you bothered to investigate the issue, you would have seen that the issue was in fact a problem on your end (confirmed over 30 hours AFTER my initial ticket was opened up).

“you have been very rude to our staff”
Yeah, try again. Nobody was ‘rude’ here, except yourselves. In fact, I pointed out more than one error in your system, and I can bet it’s STILL going on today.

The fact is that you, the company, and hostslim, the parent company are scam artists, nothing more… This much was made quite evident by your refusal to refund my account, despite your terms of service… Additionally, this was made evident by the fact that you DELIBERATELY stalled the PayPal request until the LAST possible moment. Thankfully, Paypal saw through your little scam.

As I mentioned, the only problems that have been had in the past were with providers, such as yourselves, who are literally as incompetent as they come. Most of these aren’t even in business any more, and you’ll be gone after a short time if you keep up that level of ‘support’ as well.

The internet doesn’t close down ‘because of night’. It remains open 24×7, and yes, it’s QUITE reasonable to expect a ticket to be answered PROPERLY (did you try using username / password, WITHOUT verifying that username/password works is NOT a proper response) within a matter of a couple of hours.

          BTW:
You can’t even get your days straight, that just shows the level of incompetence here.
The payment was sent on February 14th, a WEDNESDAY (not a Sunday), and the ticket was raised within an hour of said payment.

          • We clearly don’t see it the same way. Your fraudrecord trackrecord say enough about the situation. We hope you will be happy with your next provider.

  7. Ezdzr:

Ordered a domain and hosting. Hosting was set up immediately, like the hosting I have bought from them before.

Domain registration has been pending over 20 hours. No responses to ticket in over 15 hours. I closed the ticket and opened another with high priority now. Live chat has only connected once, I was told the issue would be fixed in a few hours, its been more than a few hours.

I will reply to this as things progress, if things progress.

      • Hello Ezdzr, very sorry. I found the ticket. We’re working on the registration of the domain for you.

  8. For the ones looking for a KVM SSD VPS – we’ve added plans on our website as well, since we’ve got a lot of questions for KVM SSD Vpsses in the USA.

Well hostslayer seems to be a scam.

It’s been a few days now since I paid for a hosting plan and… NOTHING.
No e-mails, no login details. So I can’t even open my Cpanel.
Support is dead, all my tickets are still unanswered.

(I saw HostSlayer answers in this thread about “night request”s, “resonable time of response” etc.
But I’m waiting for already 2 days – since Monday evening. And it’s Wednesday evening now. )

Hostslayer is somehow connected to HOSTSLIM.EU … So I’d be careful with them too.
