It’s hard to escape ChatGPT in 2023. It’s everywhere.
One of the most frequent questions I get as a copywriter by trade is if ChatGPT worries me.
I thought about it for quite a while at first, and to answer the question…
No, because it generally lacks soul and isn’t going to be able to understand and invoke human emotions (which are what trigger a human to react, such as making a purchase, not logic) as well as a human could.
But, it is still very useful — especially when you feed it the right prompts, and it can be added as a tool to your arsenal as a business owner, specifically for the purposes of formatting or laying out an outline, and then you can go back and fill in the blanks yourself with a human touch.
The most important part about getting use out of ChatGPT, though, is using a good prompt.
Prompts Are Everything
If we feed ChatGPT 4.0 a decent prompt for making a LowEndTalk offer thread for example:

Like I said earlier though, that’s going to get a lot of the work done for you, but ideally, you’ll still want to add a human revision and touch to it.
You need to make sure you’re using good prompts, and preferably ChatGPT 4 for the best results — there is a major difference between 3.5 and 4.0.
Also, if you can feed it any other threads, it can use the structure and formatting of those threads to write better threads.
So, you can use AI to save a bit of time, but it’s not quite at the point of not requiring human touch… if you’re asking a copywriter.
Now, if you’re asking a software developer if it’s capable of writing an offer thread, the answer is probably yes.
