We had featured some Chinese providers last month (which caused a bit of stir), but it is great to see another low end provider from China, LoliHosting, taking in suggestions from other readers at LowEndBox and implemented them. They are now on their own dedicated servers, got IPv6 enabled across their plans, and added SSL to their WHMCS. They have also rolled out some new plans.
First of all, they have some new OpenVZ nodes in Los Angeles with BurstNET (test IP: 184.22.28.90). Use promo code LEB also gets you 10% off recurring discount. You get 1x IPv4 and 1x IPv6 on these plans
- VZ192
- 192MB guaranteed/384MB burstable memory
- 1 vCPU core
- 15GB storage
- 300GB/month data transfer on 1Gbps
- $3.11/month (Sign up link)
- VZ384
- 384MB guaranteed/768MB burstable memory
- 2 vCPU core
- 30GB storage
- 600GB/month data transfer on 1Gbps
- $4.91/month (Sign up link)
They now also have Xen nodes in Asheville NC with Netriplex (test IP: 69.61.68.130). Those are Xen PV by default but can be updated to Xen HVM on request. Again, 1x IPv4 + 1x IPv6.
- XEN192
- 192MB memory/256MB swap
- 1 vCPU core
- 15GB storage
- 1TB/month data transfer on 1Gbps
- $3.95/month (Sign up link)
- XEN384
- 384MB memory/512MB swap
- 2 vCPU core
- 30GB storage
- 2TB/month data transfer on 1Gbps
- $6.95/month (Sign up link)
Payment in either PayPal or Alipay. Domain was registered in September 2010 but the service was only launched in June so is still pretty new. Be cautious that George, owner of LoliHosting, is a freshman in college so running a hosting business might not always be his priority. LoliHosting is an (unfortunate) mis-spelling of Lollipop when George was looking for a name for his business (see his comment here), and I think he should take Daniel’s suggestion a bit more seriously :)

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.

Jeez don’t compare poor lzgeorge to nbvps, he deserves more respect than that ;)
Francisco
nbvps’s owner has a lot of money, and losing money on nodes everyday. Even though they can purchase nodes from greatest datacenters, I don’t know how long it will last. (That’s the thing I most worried about.)
Well, we have 3 people working together to improve our service now, wish one day we could be another FranTech. (^_^)
Wouldn’t George be in his second year of college now? The school year just started again.
They just went through a server crash where their server got reformatted:

Any news on that?
We’ve tried recovered 14 of 36 vps and added 2 months credit for all Chicago vps. Also provided 2 full refunds to 2 customers who unfortunately lost the data. Currently the node is stable and fast.
Yep, I still uphold my opinion on the rename, a word that shares a definition of manga girls doing (snipped) scenes isn’t a good one to use in a VPS company name.
Thank you, I’ve registered lollihosting.com :)
Currently the node is stable and fast.
Happy mid-autumn festival! Where are you located in China? :)
